This restaurant came highly recommended so my husband and I decided to give it a try for his birthday. I was taken back by the lack of curb appeal and it being located next to a highway Inn. They had complimentary parking which was unexpected but definitely appreciated because it was 3 degrees outside. The interior of the place lacked luster and left a lot to be desired as far as its appearance, but the food did not disappoint one bit. Price was reasonable for the amount and quality of food. I did put in the reservation notes that it was my husband's birthday but it was not acknowledged, nor were we asked if we were celebrating anything special that night. Staff didn't go out of their way to make sure we had a good experience like other high end restaurants. Im not sure if there was a dress code since some people wore sneakers , tshirts and hats in the dining room. Some people had no decorum and little basic restaurant manners. But again the food was excellent. We would definitely return for the food and have lower expectations for the rest of the restaurant. We will also try their Philly location, which we hear is classier.

We chose Steak 38 to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, and it couldn't have been a more perfect choice. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, elegant, and special—exactly what you hope for on a milestone night. The food was outstanding. Every dish was cooked to perfection, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. You can truly tell how much care and pride goes into the menu. This is the kind of meal you talk about long after the night is over. The service was equally impressive—attentive, kind, and never rushed. We felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of the entire evening, which made the celebration feel even more meaningful. What truly set the night apart, though, was our singing server Sam. It added such a unique and memorable touch to the experience and made the birthday celebration feel extra special and personal. It was one of those moments that makes you stop, smile, and soak everything in. Thank you, Steak 38, for helping create such a beautiful birthday memory. absolutely amazing food, service, drinks and ambience..........perfectly cooked bone-in ribeye etc. it is a must for anyone that loves an incredible steakhouse!!!

My wife and I celebrated her birthday at your establishment. It has been a favorite of ours for years. We ordered the filet mignon for two. Absolutely outrages tasting. Not sure that I ever ate a filet that tender. It was cooked to perfection - medium rare. Not sure how you get that cooked perfectly. I try at home, but it never comes close. Keep doing what you are doing. Plan to be back soon. The service was great and the various presentations of the Ceasar Sald and Bananas Foster were great. Thank you to our team that waited on us.

Service was outstanding, our server Brittany was wonderful. We were not rushed, and the back room was great for conversation -- we didn't have to shout! Love that. Ribeye, salmon & crabcakes were delicious. Favorite drink was the Jersey Devil. Birthday tiramasu cupcake was amazing. The carrot cake was served very cold, and we missed having the extra layer of icing on the side of the huge slice, not just the top & in between layers. But since we brought most of it home, the birthday boy can take it out of the fridge earlier, so it's not as cold. Overall, a wonderful birthday experience. Kudos to the chef & staff!

We had not been there for years, had an excellent dinner. Our waiter Rob was just the best, very attentive, very friendly and saw to every little need for all four of us. We will definitely be back and will ask for Rob !!

Celebrated a birthday and everything was perfect. Drinks were delicious; Servers were personable; table-side service was elite; and the food was delectable. It was just the right amount of fancy for the birthday!

1st let me say we've been coming here for over 35 years!!! ... Waited over 15 minutes for reserved table in a tight spot by the door! Then waited VERY long for our drinks (needed to wait for espresso) served 2 out of 6 of us then still forgot 1 when all the others came out then rushed out our oysters with the salads when we barely had our 1st drinks then forgot one of the salads ..then my friends steak was cooked too much and she had to send back! Service was eh! The food was good. The room was weird and the table next to us of 8 men cursing non stop was a bit disturbing! Kind of disappointed for the $$$$ we paid!
