Sugar Factory - Cherry Hill

For some reason I received an email we were a no show but we did make our reservation and on time and had the best time! We loved Sugar Factory and had a sweet day!

The scenery at this restaurant was beautiful and the location was great, but unfortunately the experience didn't match the setting. I booked for my child's birthday, and we were rushed out the door before we could even celebrate properly. I had to ask the staff to sing happy birthday, and they only did so after we had already paid and were leaving. The customer service was disappointing, and the food came out cold. It's a shame, because the place itself has a lot of potential.

Could see 1/2 our food up in the kitchen for at least 10-15 min, so wasn't as fresh as could have been.

We were the first and only table there. A 2nd table arrived as we were leaving. We ordered two different drinks and got the same one. I ordered raspberry French toast, it came out with strawberries and blueberries. The kitchen insisted twice that they WERE raspberries, before finally admitting they had none. My husband ordered lemon blueberry pancakes. We waited an hour after my mom and mines food came out for those. They had neither lemon or blueberries and now our food was ice cold bc we were seated right under a vent while waiting an hour for pancakes to get "out of the oven." Never have i made pancakes in the oven but i digress.... We asked for the manager and he comped our meal. Tipped the server (was not her fault.. she looked like she wanted yo cry)and left all the food. We didnt touch it. We ate at cheesecake factory instead. We used to love this place. Probably wont be back.

Prior to going I emailed the Cherry Hill location about food allergy accommodations and was informed staff were well trained and they could help us choose food for my child. Yet, nothing on the food menu was safe even though we were first told the burger patty would be safe. So my child could not eat anything there. Our waitress was great and understanding though which we appreciated. Other issues involved: no soap in the bathroom, overflowing garbage in the bathroom, toilet paper on the floor in the stalls. At one point there were no clean glasses so we needed to wait longer for drinks because our server was not allowed to give us plastic cups. Lastly, the checking in experience even with a reservation was stressful. The host and maybe who appeared to be a manager were not prepared to handled large groups and ensure those that had earlier reservations were seated before later ones.

The experience was excellent. I took my daughter there for her 16th birthday. She was pleased. They sang Happy Birthday to her with their little dance, which was awesome. I never saw my granddaughter smile so much during her visit. The food was good, a little more improvement, the hamburger was too dry, but other than that, we had a really good time. The staff was awesome. 

Really expensive for mid food. Service was slow, our server was sat with a large party right after us and basically never came back over. Probably wouldn't come back. Cake part of milkshake was half frozen.

The food was delicious, atmosphere was fun. Sadly the service was beyond slow. It was not busy, it took our server at least 10 minutes to greet us after being seated while we could see her standing and talking with coworkers at the bar. We sat for 30 minutes before any food or drinks arrived at the table (besides water) once we did get food and drinks, the server only checked on us once quickly as she was walking by the table. The next time we saw the server was when we were presented with the check, without even asking if we wanted anything else. It was my daughter's birthday, which was noted in the reservation, and we would have ordered a dessert to celebrate but felt like we were being rushed out. To say the least, the subpar service put a real damper on what should have been a fun experience for my daughter's 6th birthday.

I sat at the bar and had the absolute best experience, thanks to Janet.
The food was delicious.
Her drinks were superb.
And the service was 5-Stars.
If every server is as personable and professional as janet, I will be coming back more frequently.
Janet is the bar for which service providers should be measured by.

My daughter wanted to come here for her 18th Birthday. From the time we entered until we left staff was great. Food was good. This is worth every penny.

Service was slow only two people working. There was dust all on the lamps and the tvs look like they wanted to fall out the wall. The food is a zero no star. Anything breaded was cook in pold oil the burger buns stale. I could go on...never again place is a waste and overrated.
