I usually don't write reviews unless i feel very strongly about a particular incident or a situation that arose during my experience. I stopped by The Kibitz Room today because i wanted a pound of Hebrew National Kosher Salami. Before I go any further, I live in New Jersey, but I grew up in Northeast Philadelphia. The place I go to is Steve Stein's Famous Delicatessen. The price there is 12.00 a pound for this item. At the Kibitz Room, the same item is 20.00. I got a pound of lox. At Stein's it is 25.00 and at the Kibitz Room it is 45.00.
I know what you are thinking. If i didn't like the price at the Kibitiz room or thought it was too expensive, i should have went to Philadelphia to Stein's. You would be correct. I know there would be a difference in the price, but this is a slap in the face to the customers.
I don't know who the hell The Kibitz Room think they are charging outrageous prices for these items. Its like robbery without a gun. Rest assured, i wont be going there again. I just dislike the feeling of being taken advantage of. It wont happen again.

Last visit: it was 1:30pm and they tell us we cannot sit inside. No place to sit outside and it's hot out. Ridiculous. Instead go 0.6 miles to Radin's Deli and get treated like a Mensch.

Old reviews: Classic Jewish deli. Pastrami was great, as good as anywhere.

While I have dined here previously and had positive experiences, a recent visit has led me to withdraw my patronage. The establishment's decision to prominently display a national flag associated with a government I believe is engaged in acts of genocide and severe human rights violations creates an environment where I cannot, in good conscience, enjoy the food or service. My personal values cannot align with a business that appears to endorse such actions.

Terrible customer service. So I thought I would try again 2 years later. Even worse. Did not have my order ready as promised. Actually, did not have my order at all which was called in 2 1/2 hours earlier. Waited 30 minutes for take out order.

Very disappointed with Kibitz tonight. I went to order and asked if they had any liver kinish and the woman did not know and asked two people before they told me yes. Staff not trained well. But what really got me upset was thier corn beef special. Was the worst sandwich that actually made me sick. There was more fat than beef. Paid extra for coleslaw and Russian dressing which was hardly on the sandwich. My wife's kinish was okay but had no onion. I eventually gave my dog most of the sandwich. I been going to this deli for years and never had an issue. Today was my last time going due to quality and staff.

This place is circling the drain. 13+ dollars for 1 piece of stale cake. 4+ dollars for watery coffee. The bagel and lox literally has one piece of lox on it.

stopped today been here several times before. I just picked up some bagels and whitefish salad. I think they sold me day old bagels. They were horrible fell apart when I cut it and barley had any poppy or everything season on them. So disappointed and I went in at 930 when they opened.

A tried and true Jewish Deli that has stood the test of time. Consistently great food and quick service. Great concise menu with all the delicatessen classics with their Kibbitz touch. This is THE deli in the area, hands down. Have been here a hundred times and will continue to return, friends and family agree.

I had a friend bring me chicken salad. Tonight when I went to eat amongst the chicken salad there was some fat and skin attached to the chicken. I called and spoke to the manager and was told "we've never had that problem". I explained I'm incapacitated and can't drive after he told me to put it in the fridge. I said it will be months before I could drive. His response was there's nothing he could do when all I really wanted was $2.00 back on a small container that was $9.35. Not good PR
