The food is incredibly delicious. So many options to choose from. An amazing selection. The scenery is amazing. I would recommend this venue if you want to have a memorable event and experience.
Our wedding at this venue was truly unforgettable! The grounds were breathtakingly beautiful — every corner felt picture-perfect, from the lush scenery to the charming details that made the whole place feel magical. The food was above and beyond anything we expected — every dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about it!
Emily, our coordinator, was wonderful to work with. She remembered every request and handled everything with such care and professionalism, even when we had a few hiccups along the way. We had a smaller guest list, but the staff treated everyone like gold, making the day feel just as grand and special as we’d hoped.
The wedding day itself was absolutely perfect. The only little miss was that we ended up skipping our cake cutting because no one caught it on the timeline and we couldn’t find Emily at that moment — but honestly, it all worked out and didn’t take away from the amazing day we had.
We’re so grateful for Emily and the entire team for creating such a beautiful, joy-filled experience. This venue is a dream.
I attended a lovely wedding. There were many ways in which this venue shined and a few that were disappointing.
I enjoyed the cocktail hour very much but the dinner was mediocre at an absolute best. I ordered my Delmonico steak cooked medium, and it arrived well done and was tough and rubbery. When I requested an adjustment my pays was taken away and then returned to me, uncovered. I was told that I had no choice and that's all they had. It really was a butchered peice of meat... and i wound up eating my mates salmon diner which was not terrible despite the rather salty side dish that accompanied it and the overcooked and wilted bok choy. It's a if two separate kitchens cooked the various sets of food. If i had to judge the venue for dinner, I'd never recommend it at all. If i were to judge based on appearance and *some* of the non food related services, then I'd say it was good enough.
Beautiful place, perfect for weddings and parties
Our wedding at the Merion was amazing. The food and reception service here is unmatched. The bartenders were amazing, working quickly and making our signature drinks perfectly. Thee cocktail hour was the BEST - the sushi and the bacon bar were so good. Our server Nick was lovely - he made sure we had everything we needed and kept us organized throughout the reception. The space is beautiful, we chose the Empire in the downstairs and we had our ceremony upstairs in the Skylight room - The Merion was super accommodating with waiting until the day-of to decide about indoor or outdoor ceremony (it ended up raining for our day).
We also got ready at the Merion in the suites downstairs, the girls arrived at 9 am and the boys at noon. There was a wonderful breakfast and lunch spread for the girls. We also got champagne and juices for mimosas in the morning. The room was spacious and there were 3 chairs for hair and makeup.
The guys room is really cool and has a pool table and TV for football. Beer can’t be ordered when you arrive but you are welcome to bring your own, so be aware of that
The downfall in the two rooms is that there is no place to hang suits or dresses in either room. We requested a rack to hang but they had none available. Since we were trying to avoid wrinkles this wasn't ideal.
Overall, a lovely experience. I would recommend the Merion as a venue. We are still getting compliments on the food from cocktail hour, main courses, and the bar!
Beautiful site for a wedding. Food was fantastic, staff were friendly and accommodating! Thanks for a great evening
The wait staff were kind and courteous. The environment was pleasant.
My fiancé and I only have positive things to say about this beautiful venue and the wonderful staff. We had the pleasure of working with Michelle throughout our entire wedding process and she was beyond amazing. From start to finish she was extremely responsive and always provided solutions to any obstacles that came our way. No matter how many times we reached out she would always help if we needed it. HIGHLY recommend working with her!
The venue itself is stunning! From the outside to the inside. We had our ceremony/reception in both The Palace and The Palazzo. The entire team made sure everything was how we wanted it and couldn’t thank them enough. Thank you to Michelle and the Merion Team for making our wedding special!
Beautiful venue.
TLDR: We would give zero stars if that were an option.
We chose The Merion in Cinnaminson, NJ with high expectations for our wedding and reception, trusting their reputation and the assurances given by their staff. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below the standard any couple should expect on one of the most important days of their lives.
To begin, even the simplest promises agreed upon with the Merion were not fulfilled. Our guests were supposed to be offered water, mango lassi, and coffee/tea at the ceremony. Instead, the mango lassi was simply forgotten. While this may sound small, it was our first sign that attention to detail — something absolutely critical at weddings — was missing.
The reception was where the issues became impossible to overlook. Our wedding cake design had been finalized with the venue months in advance, yet the cake that was presented on the day was incomplete and bore little resemblance to what had been agreed upon. We were left cutting into a cake that looked unfinished — an incredibly disappointing and embarrassing moment given the significance of that tradition.
Later in the evening, we faced our most unacceptable issue. We paid to extend the timing of our open bar until 10:30 pm prior to the event. At around 9:45 pm, one of the bartenders ended her shift early, leaving only a single bartender to manage the main ballroom bar for our entire large party. Guests waited in long lines and some — including the groom’s mother, who waited 30 minutes for a simple mocktail — were never served. Having one of the most important people in our lives turned away from a drink she requested at her son’s wedding is something that should never happen.
During these issues, our Maitre D (Nick) — the person who should have been overseeing and resolving problems — was nowhere to be found. When we finally asked him at the end of the night to relay our feedback to management, our concerns were never addressed until we followed up with the Merion, suggesting that our feedback may not have been promptly shared with management.
After the event, we reached out to management to address our concerns. In response, they extended an offer of compensation. However, when we expressed that we did not find the offer to be fair given our experience, the partners abruptly rescinded it in full. Ultimately, management refused to provide any form of compensation that we believed to be reasonable or equitable. Since then, we have received no further communication from The Merion—neither from Michelle (our Sales Representative), Dave (the General Manager), nor any of the owners.
What makes all of this worse is that these weren’t “small hiccups.” They were fundamental failures in planning, communication, and professionalism. A venue in this business is entrusted with once-in-a-lifetime events. When corners are cut or responsibilities ignored, it doesn’t just cause inconvenience — it leaves lasting scars on memories that should have been joyous.
We wish we could recommend The Merion, but we cannot. For the cost of hosting an event here, couples deserve attention to detail, accountability, and a staff committed to executing the basics with care. Sadly, that is not what we experienced.

Beautiful experience at a wedding I attended . Also , we had a great server Daniel very helpful & funny !
I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. As a bride, The Merion couldn't have been any more accommodating. The venue is beautiful, and the communication and attentiveness was top notch. So many of my guests reach out to tell me what a beautiful wedding it was and how great the food was!
Request Emily as your coordinator, she was a pleasure to work with and absolutely amazing!! She truly went above and beyond to make my experience great! Also, Manny is one of the best bartenders I've ever had. My guest remembered him by name because his cocktails were a work of art!
Thank you to The Merion for such a wonderful experience!
The outside grounds were perfect for a wedding especially when the relaxing sounds of water from fountains, and ponds are your thing! The venue welcomed you with pure elegance, shiny floors, sparkling hanging enormous chandeliers, super attentive hostesses, clean and well kept restrooms, and the wide variety of hor duerves, desserts, and food choices were on point.
