Came all the way from Texas!
Let me just say Mike & black did not disappoint! They deserve a full tank of gas every morning cause they did not miss. This the type of food they were talking about from next Friday “that tastes so good it make you wanna smack ya momma”. Thankyou again a million times for opening back up the kitchen to make sure we didn’t leave empty handed after hours. You were the sweetest and kindest souls! And the food was top TiER.

So disapointed that this food because I was truly hungry and wanted to give this place a try. I ordered the whiting dinner entree with the mac and cheese. The fish is sour, the greens are tough, and mac and cheese has mixture of burnt pieces throughout. Food straight in the trash and a waste.

WENT THERE FOR DINNER DRINKS ON MOTHERS DAY IN ORDER TO GET IN THE BACK WHERE TABLES BAR WERE FOR DINNER THEY WERE CHARGING $25 ADDMISSION FEE TO GET IN ONLY WAY U COULD GO GET DRINKS WERE TO PAY $25 TO GET IN RIDICULOUS. OR SIT ON SIDE IN A VERY TIGHT TABLE SO WE LEFT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. SO WE LEFT WENT TO SOUTH VALLEY BBQ WHICH WAS PRETTY GOOD.

This time around wasn’t hitting like the first time around I don’t know but food tasted old the take out lady should not be doing everything by herself she told us cash only so of course we had to use the atm just to walk back up to her and her say did you Zelle it or cash app the money? Huh you said cash only

Last summer this was my spot for their rasta pasta i went today and omg the rasta pasta was so nasty. I am so mad because nobody made rasta pasta like them . Bring back the old cook!

Service was great, server was kind. The environment was very clean and well managed ! Food was good for the most part I will say very fresh, as a true southern girl though I do feel it was missing some flavor although the idea was there. Additionally food came out very speedy. Overall I would go and eat there again if I was craving food from home.

I ordered takeout from here tonight and I paid too much damn money for this food to taste like this. Who is the chef?! I literally never leave a review but I had to about this. The mac and cheese is disgusting! Yall see all these reviews about the food. Find a new chef! I will never go back. I stopped eating here years ago because the last time the food was nasty. I tried to support again because I thought they made some recent changes but never again! Food will be going right in the garbage. Smh

I stopped here for a drink around 12:50am. I did not like the experience. Big man was frustrated I guess because it was slow. He started turning on lights and turning off tvs 30-40 minutes before the place closed. I just paid 20 dollars for a drink and now I have to stare at the wall.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATRONS.

Absolute worst place I've tried in a long time. When we walked in we were barely acknowledged, there were only 2 patrons at the bar, should've headed that warning. The first server could not be bothered besides calling her relief to figure out where they were. Took for ever to come take orders then informed us the bartender wasn't there but didn't even offer soft drinks. Food was disgusting! Frozen collard greens without any attempt to season them up, mac and cheese old dry rewarmed, yams were like a mash, cornbread rock hard microwave reheated, wings looked like kidnapped baby chick's with 1.5 bites worth of meat, shrimp way too salty inedible. Bartender sitting at bar drinking from a 2 litter bottle, flipping through TV. No music playing. I mean come on?! The only saving grace was our 2nd waiter super nice and congenial gentleman. If the food was at least decent he alone would have saved the place. Note to establish you never know who you are entertaining, if they're scouting for an event space etc....

Food was disgusting, grease is realy old taste like every meat under the sun , chicken was spoiled, greasy , not seasoned , collards was trifling, max and cheese was like Mac and please don't let this be for human consumption, corn bread was corny. Would not recognize this garbage to no one .

When we arrived we were not allowed to sit in the main dining area. We were told we had to sit up front. We were the only ones there. My chicken was raw and bloody in the middle. They refried and practically burned the same piece of chicken which was already dark from the start and added 3 wing flings. My food was brought back to me packaged to go even though the other people in my party were still eating. We were told they didn’t take credit cards. They take Zelle, cash app and cash. All though they don’t take credit cards we were charged a credit card fee. The receipt says a gratuity is added for orders over $100. A 15% gratuity was added to our bill that was well under $100. The receipt has a cash price and a CC price on it. I zelled the cash price because it’s cash going directly from one account to another. I was told I had to pay the CC fee. How can you charge a CC fee if you don’t accept credit cards?!?!
