We when to Bistro 1051 for my wife's birthday. We had gone there before. The service and food were great as we expected. The prices have increased since we last visited and there was a 3% service charge added for using a CC to pay. I feel that this is a surcharge not a service. Overall, great experience.
When we arrived on time, the receptionist said that we didn't have a reservation even though I made the reservation on OpenTable two weeks early and asked for a table in the main dining area. She said she didn't have a table for us in the main dinning room because other people made reservations. I showed her the confirmation text from OpenTable but she didn't care and sat us against the wall in the sunroom or whatever you call the side room.
The food was excellent, however, we had a 7:15 reservation and were not seated until almost 8. While waiting to be seated, we witnessed a man who looked to be the owner, yell at someone on the phone, hang up on them twice, and then slam his phone onto the table in anger. We were seated next to a large retirement party, and all the members of the party were standing around our table while we were dining - I could not even lift my arms without hitting someone as that is how close...
