We have been coming here for a long time and have always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere…tonight I ordered the Shepherd’s Pie…I ate about 3 bites and didn’t find any meat…then after searching through it…there was very little to none…the owner/manager told me since I “ate” it which I did not…there was nothing she could do…I wasn’t looking for a free meal…just an apology…it’s a shame because we enjoy coming here and I felt like I was treated like a POS???

Tarantellas has been our go-to Italian since it opened. We have our favorites; Chicken Parmesan, Antipasto Salad, Hot Sausage Hero, Chicken Giambotta, Meatball Sliders, Garlic Knots, AND the dish ordered every time: Sautéed Pasta with Bolognese. Our average spending on a meal for two has been $95-$120 (pricey!). Lately, the Bolognese has not be up-to-par. I don’t know what they changed but the dish is not sautéed, the meat is course, chunks of tomatoes, no garlic. It’s been terrible the last few times we’ve had it. Last night we placed an order for 3 people, and got a large order of Bolognese with spaghetti. Well… it was barely tossed and there was hardly any pasta! We were using it as a side dish and we had to minimize our portions because it was literally all meat. Did the kitchen run out of spaghetti? I’m sorry, but spending $25+ for a large order that delivers an understuffed, unbalanced meal, is a fail. If this was the first time we were disappointed in this item, I’d let it go but it’s consistently been a thumbs down. The garlic bread was soggy. The rationing of the regular bread stinks. And the chicken giambotta lacked potatoes and the meat was too chunky for the dish. Now let me get back to making a box of spaghetti so I don’t waste the mound of bolognese. now making my own pound of pasta so I don’t waste all of this Bolognese. This restaurant needs to step up their game on the kitchen because Lorenzo’s and Rudy’s are looking better!

My daughter has anaphylactic reactions to eggs but also can’t tolerate gluten. So my husband called Tarentella’s to check if their gluten free pizza had eggs. He was assured that it did not. Well…in the ER in an anaphylactic reaction now after eating it. So I called to talk to them and they checked and reported that it DOES have eggs in it. Ugh!!!! Be aware that you can’t trust this restaurant if you have bad allergies.They can’t be bothered to do proper checking on allergies when a customer calls. He called at 3:40pm on Sunday afternoon to see if she could have pizza the following day. We plan things out. They didn’t actually check and now we are in the ER. This pizza wasn’t even good or worth any of this!Side note: Rudy’s of Garwood has a gluten free and egg free pizza that my daughter said is way better anyway.

I'm going to rate food on today order and other bad experience but usually the food is good. I always order from here more in the past 2 years but this is the 3rd time I've had a bad experience ordering from here. I figure instead of getting $2 off my next meal or delivery I post something even though my orders are usually more than $60 or plus. I don't know if it because cook is having a bad day or whatever the reason. Today I ordered 1 Hawaiian pie for myself & 1 of my son because other 2 kids and husband are sick and I'm exhausted but now mad with what I received. Pizza crust was burnt and pineapple tasted soo bad, spoiled.. I've been ordering from this place since 2019 when I moved to area and in just this year I've had 3 bad experience in less than a year.. this place is usually good but when they do a mistake it's on you not them..

Wonderful Italian restaurant and a great bar. A big menu of Italian dishes and sandwiches, etc. Prices are very good and you could choose between a medium or a large portion. Weight staff is friendly and attentive. Large selection of drift beer and regular drinks.
