So disappointed in these new owners bakery. Just not the same, although it said it would be. Not as yummy as before. Also more expensive now! I will never go back. They lost me AND my sister.

I was expecting to see a lot of Italian desserts like how it is in NYC where Italian bakeries actually provide a ton of traditional Italian desserts. Once entered the bakery you can tell they make very American pastries with little Italian options. Maybe consider changing the introduction of the bakery because I personally find it a bit misleading. We still got multiple desserts to give it a try. Unfortunately every single item we got was extremely sweet with little to no fresh taste from the ingredients- we don't taste the fresh fruit taste from the fruit desserts and the cream and cake part don't taste great either.

First time we went near the end of the night they had an attitude when we asked if they were still open.
Second time, we finally tried it and it's mid at best.

I picked up a Tiramisu for my wife’s birthday here and was not impressed by the quality at all. Cake was basic, small, dry and bland. There were also way too many biscuits wrapped around it. For $30 I expected something amazing but it turned out to be one of the worst tiramisus I’ve had. When I ordered it they had none in stock so I didn’t get to see how disappointing they look. I feel ripped off and disappointed.
This bakery in Clark is a must-visit, offering an incredible selection of divine doughnuts and cupcakes, as well as numerous other desserts to indulge in. To avoid missing out on their heavenly doughnuts, it's best to visit before lunchtime.

Disappointing to say the least. Just stopped in to pick up doughnuts, crumb cake, cookies, and hard rolls. The service was perfect and the place is spotless. No complaints there.
The chocolate frosted dounts are large, but much more like cake than a doughnut. Dense at the top and soft at the bottom. Not what they once were. Honestly, dunkin donuts reliably do a better job.
The crumb cake (powdered) has slipped worse. Looked like ordinary crumb cake in the case. I get to eating it and realize they are 90+% cake and less than 10% crumbs. That really needs to change. I would hope it's not a cost savings measure because I think I can speak for my entire family in saying we don't go to Vaccaros to cheap out.
The chocolate cookies are pretty good, I'd go 8/10 on them.
Finally, the hard rolls seem to be unchanged from my childhood and are still the best in the area.
Please take this review in stride and think about making some changes to your doughnuts and crumb buns.

I visit Vaccaros often and was happy they reopened. I visited on sat 12/28. After looking around a few minutes I noticed the pastries were not the same but I was willing to try the apple turnovers.
There were 3 people behind the counter, none of which greeted me or asked me if they could help me. Mind you I was the only person in the store other than one lady already being rung up. Needless to say I walked out without buying anything. Sadly I do not intend on returning.

Great crumb cakes, cookies etc.
Was so excited to have Vaccaros back in the community.
I have tried the cup cakes and they are too dense. The brownies which I always bought are different too dense as well.
I always bought the brownies for my son when he was in town they were his favorite and now no one likes them.
I asked what changed and they said the bakers. Even though those two things are a loss from vaccaros original.. the pecan ring danish is very good.
Went back for a birthday cake. Asked what cake and filling was inside the traditional birthday style cake
Was told it was vanilla cake with fudge filling.
Cut it at the party only to find that it was an all vanilla cake that I would not have purchased if I was told this ahead of time. Disappointed that I did not get what I was told I was buying .

Fantastic family run bakery, have gotten everything from cookies, brownies to cakes and everything else in between. Couldn’t have a better experience anywhere else.

Went there when first opened and was disappointed. Gave it another try thinking maybe they needed time to settle in. Again very disappointed. Crumb buns tasted like an Entenmans cake and the one with frosting was very sticky. The frosting remained wet and gooey. The price $2.25 per bun is unrealistic compared to other bakeries. If you have the original recipes like you say you do, maybe you should refer to them. I will not be returning.
Ordered a cake from here. Red velvet. It was delicious. They also apparently have rainbow cookies which are hard to find. I’ll be back for sure.

A couple weeks ago I purchased about a dozen doughnuts to serve as dessert for some friends we had over. They were delicious and generous in size. My husband even said the Boston Creme doughnut was one of the best he ever had. I can't wait to try more of their baked goods, and I'm so glad the bakery reopened.
