One of my favorite ramen spots in NJ. The seating isn’t comfortable in the restaurant so I recommend taking your ramen to go.

One of my favorite ramen spots! It's consistently good and I love going here and taking different people so they can experience it too! But a fair warning the steps outside are a little sketch when I went the other day I fell leaving the restaurant and got banged up a bit. Imma still go back tho the food is great.

Broth was oily. Left a weird texture in my mouth. Sorta like how coca cola leaves your teeth feeling, sticky? Otherwise, it was decent.

Amazing ramen! Service was excellent. I've had a lot of Ramen in the area, but this is by far the best.

Pork buns and black beard ramen are undeniably on point. Haven’t tried anything else because I can’t not order these when I’m there. Generous portions, flavors on point, come at your own risk won’t be able to stop thinking of this place.

12/14/23This was on my list of ramen places to try for a little while. Finally got around to going and was disappointed...Tonkotsu Gyokai Ramen - The ramen smelled great. Tonkotsu and Fish Dashi should have blown my mind with flavor, but this was bland... The Chashu was not pork belly, it was dry pork loin like... That was such a let down...Blackbeard Ramen - Smelled the garlic but again it was bland...Service was ok, the waitress was polite but not very helpful. It was like she didn't know what she was selling...The location was very desolate... It was actually a little creepy in the dark. Inside was very clean, but seems old and not maintained...

I have nothing to complain about this place but I've often wondered why, if we like it so much, Blackbeard Ramen never made it to our rotation of restaurants we keep coming back to. It's located on a downhill corner and of the few times we've been here, I think we're lucky with parking. It's a small spot, so I think most of their customers order take out; but I personally like eating hot food right out of the kitchen so with limited street parking available, whenever I think of eating out, this wouldn't be top of mind. HOWEVER, ever since we heard about this place from a friend's recommendation, it did not disappoint. This is my ramen spot, I don't even think I've ever had ramen in Mitsuwa. Servings are sizable and the broth hits the spot every time. Writing this review makes me want to come back again!

I have been there multiple times and always had an amazing time. Food is delicious. But this time around I went on a Sunday and the dish wasn't even hot and didn't taste fresh. I got the tonkatsu ramen and Pork bun (which was amazing as always). Service was great and friendly ??

Would never come again here again. If you like ramen that cost $20+ then third place maybe for you. But before I talk about the ramen let me talk about the service.Owner/manager here likes to throw then menu at you instead of placing it down. Extremely rude person.I’m extremely surprised that ramen here doesn’t come with an egg as a topping, you have to pay extra for it. This is the only ramen place that does this in fort Lee area. The Ramen itself is decent but not the best.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because, though I liked the noodles well enough, they were more thin and al dente than I would have liked.Aside from that, the broth was banging! We got the Blackbeard ramen; Tonkotsu broth mixed with charred garlic oil, black pepper, black sesame seeds and pureed garlic. Topped with chashu (pork belly), scallions, fried onions, menma (marinated bamboo shoots), kikurage (wild ear mushrooms), and nori (dried seaweed). We also added extra spicy and an egg.I've only every had chashu in taken in round slices, but here, the chashu was shredded, and I LOVED it. The charred garlic oil gave this broth a wonderful smokey quality that made you want to take each next bite even more. We basically get the same ramen wherever we go... Tonkotsu, black garlic, extra spicy, egg. This place has SOMETHING that sets them apart from the others... And it's DELICIOUS!
