I was disappointed by the service and the lack of items available on the menu. When I walked in, no one was behind the counter. I had to yell a few times to get a person appear behind the counter. When she finally came out, she said she didn’t have a menu, though there is a menu taped to the side of a pastry cupboard. The waitress tried to charge me a dollar more for the chuchito and seemed to be amused that I as a prediabetic could not drink sodas with sugar in them. She said that they don’t have filtered water which means they use tap water for their foods! Most tap water in NJ is full of chemicals, PFAS, and other contaminants. Never again.
I am suspicious of the other 5-star reviews on this restaurant. I can’t imagine someone having a 5-star experience here. Not the atmosphere of even a 3-star restaurant.
