I’ve been to Viva Margarita on Anderson Ave many times over the past year. The sizzling molcajete is my favorite—hearty enough for two, with a delicious mix of carne asada, pollo asado, ajo shrimp, and chorizo in a rich chili sauce. Although not crazy about cactus in the dish. Their tacos are also solid, and the variety of margaritas, tequilas, and mezcals is impressive. However, the experience can be inconsistent. When it’s busy, the kitchen struggles to keep up, and I’ve occasionally received burnt or overcooked dishes. Overall, I’d give it 3.5 to 4 stars—worth visiting for the flavors and drinks, but quality can vary.

I have been customer for many years. We started going to edgewater where we used to feel like home and now that they closed we moved to clifside park. I noticed thay the waitress and manager are all new. This is first time that the service is too poor. I ordered tacos which normally come with rice and beans and waitress told me that they run out of rice,They offered fries or order another plate. Checking the whole menu all the plates come with Mexican rice and beans so I asked them to change the rice and beans with another taco because tacos and fries do not match. Waitress said I will ask to the manager Mercedes and then return saying, the manager said that is no posible so I asked for the manager and She never came to the table, she sent the waitress to tell us if we want to wait for nother 10 minutes for the rice to be cooked. We were already waiting for 30 minutes and we had to wait for another 15 minutes.
I don' have nothing bad to say about the waitress she was just following the manager Directions.

Put in a massive catering order for about 25 people. Everything was ready on time. Food was fresh and presented perfectly. Very accommodating. Highly recommend! Definitely coming back in the future!
Food it’s Tex Mex . And mango y limón margarita it’s same flavor 😳😳. I try mango and they give limón l told to tell and they returned but it’s limón. Nothing like a mango .. personally there It’s a lot of nice restaurants

Was in town for a couple of days and this place was recommended. These are the best and most authentic food I’ve had outside of Mexico. The margaritas are top notch and you cannot order anything bad… everything in the menu is delicious! If you’re a local or visiting from out of town, definitely put this on your list of places to stop by.

We went there at around 5:00 pm and wait more than 10 minutes to be seated and nobody was around, not a host not a bartender, not a waitress. We had to turn around and leave

I sat for 10 minutes and not one single waiter came to take my order. One waiter was sitting eating which is understandable I’m assuming on their break, but then another waiter comes next to him and just starts yapping away despite seeing me sitting there. I was really looking forward to eating here but clearly they don’t care about their customers. Lesson learned. I won’t be returning.

Here’s the thing: there’s not enough staff here. One server for almost the entire place that one day I went to we waited forever to get our checks and can’t blame him as you see the server running to every table. Management need to be better at managing the workload. Food was okay-nothing extraordinary.
