enjoyed an evening dining with my friend, Teri, to catch up on life…ordered the Caesar steak wrap and it was delicious and a perfect Margarita…casual atmosphere…sports available on big screen TVs…near Montclair University, so a younger crowd was in the bar area…thank you, to our server, Nessa…?

I have been a client for a few years and have had better service as well as food quality. The last 3 times the food arrived barely warm, on the cold side, as if it was sitting for a while before being served. The steak was cold and unattractive to the eye, not at all appetizing. Attention to the table was lacking, the fault of the ownership for not properly staffing.
It is sad becaise a while back it was an excellent place for a steak, service was excellent, and was a go to spot. After the last year and 3 visits, it has drastically gone down hill and thus, there are other choices.
The atmosphere has also dimished. The bar has been excessive and loud, and it seems as if the ownership is nk ow catering to the bar anddrunk crowd. It has had an impact on the dining room.
Sadly, I will go out of my way to Steves Sizzling Steaks for better quality and service.

I wouldn’t call this a steakhouse; I would say its a bar that has steaks. Got a ribeye with no rip cab on it, literally my favorite piece of a ribeye. 5 dollars for a club soda and 10 dollars for a tiny tiny portion of spinach.
Nice place, everything was good tasting.

Insanely overpriced. I've passed this place a million times and finally tried it with my family. We scanned the menu and noticed very curious pricing that signaled either particularly large portions or particularly high quality ingredients. The menu items that stuck out as particularly pricey were $21 for nachos appetizer, $24 for a steak quesadilla appetizer, $29 for a steak Caesar salad, $22 for a Cobb Salad, $16 for a kids menu cheeseburger and fries, $5 soda, and $5 tea (see the pic of the menu) . Most of the other menu items were also on the higher end of the price range but I have seen similar prices for those items at other restaurants so I thought maybe those items were large and/or very good. We ended up ordering nachos, kids cheeseburger, regular sized bacon burger, a Philly cheesesteak, and two sodas. For $21 the nachos were bad (see pic). There was hardly any cheese on it, the chips were soggy and some were burnt badly. I order nachos often wherever I go and I'd say their nachos should have been priced around $10-$12, but even at that price point the lack of cheese would've been a problem. The kids burger was basically two slider sized burger patties in a bun with fries, a drink and a scoop of ice cream. $16 was high but not crazy high and I'd say it was worth more like $12-$14. The adult bacon burger was greasy with a small slice of bacon in it and, once again, was not worth $19. It was worth closer to $15. The Philly cheese steak was small and also greasy (see pic). For $22 I expected a lot better and this should have been more like $15-$16. All said and done our bill came to $92 and after tip it was a little over $110. That's an unreasonable amount of money for the food we received. Lastly, we were seated in one of their booths and when I sat down I sank about 4 inches down. I had to slide over to the end of my booth bench seat near the wall. There was some kind of hole or major dent in the seat cushion but there was no obvious damage to the upholstery. I think it goes without saying that no matter what caliber of restaurant you dine at they should all provide tables and seats that don't have major damage. I decided to live with it since the end of the bench seat was OK. However at the end of the meal after I signed the bill and we were ready to leave I mentioned the issue with the seat to the waitress in a friendly tone of "just to let you know" and not a complaint. She responded that they knew about it and that's it. If you know the seat is damaged why don't you fix it? (or at least don't seat people there unless you have no choice, when we ate there the place was 90% empty and there were tons of other open tables available). I like to support local businesses but I can't see returning to this place nor could I recommend others try it. I know the costs of doing business have gone up for restaurants and lots of other businesses. I expect and have seen price increases at almost all businesses I use. However there's a limit to how much of those costs you can transfer to your customers, depending on what you're selling. There is only so much customers will be willing to pay for things like burgers and nachos of this caliber. Unlike costs the restaurant staff has total control over things like caring about customers enough to fix a busted seat before seating them on it. There's no excuse for that.

Don't know what happened this was also a great place to go in the neighborhood. The service was so disappointing. Waitress had enough time to chit chat but not enough to take care of clientele.
