We unfortunately had to go up north for a viewing of a friends family member but stumbled across this gem. Food was excellent , staff extremely friendly and now have a spot to go when in the area. We had the Cali flower goat cheese app which we couldn’t get enough of , for dinner my wife got the skirt steak which was cooked to perfection and such good flavor. I went with the oxtail risotto which was fantastic , the flavor was amazing. The live music was a nice touch and it turned out to be a perfect dinner night. We will be recommending !

Fantastic first visit. The food was great, and the live music transported us to a place far away. Loved the presentation of the hanging skewers and the chocolate cake in a planting pot. Loved this place.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu.

Went for my boyfriend’s bday and it was so nice! Ordered the fried and steamed ox tail dumplings, the Pina Colada shrimp, and the chimichurri sliders for appetizers. Finished off with the Caribbean fried rice for our entree. Everything was delicious! They even changed the music to a Birthday song and brought out a delicious dessert! 10/10 recommend and will definitely be coming back !

My GF and I decided to try Bohemian Bistro for a weekend dinner based on the enticing food pictures and high Google reviews. The restaurant is BYOB, but we opted for water on this visit. The interior exuded a welcoming and modern vibe with hanging vines and warm lighting, creating a perfect setting for couples looking for a intimate atmosphere. We kicked off our meal with the Calamara La Brasa (Calamari), choosing the fried option instead of grilled. The presentation was undeniably artistic, adding a flair to the dish. Unfortunately, the calamari turned out to be distinctly chewy, falling short of the standards set by other places in North Jersey. While the presentation was impressive, the texture left much to be desired.Moving on to the entrees, I ordered the Ox Tail Risotto, and my GF opted for the Grilled Chicken & Lamb Hanging Skewers. However, due to the unavailability of shrimp, the restaurant substituted it with two skewers of chicken. The skewers were visually delightful but, unfortunately, the taste did not live up to the presentation. The meat was dry, overly salted, and had a noticeable propane flavor, which was severely off-putting. My girlfriend was so dissatisfied that she couldn't bring herself to finish the dish.On the other hand, the Ox Tail Risotto was a highlight of the night. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation matched the culinary experience. However, a recurring issue overshadowed the enjoyment – an excessive use of salt. The risotto, like the skewers, suffered from being overly seasoned, making it a struggle to finish. Despite the deliciousness of the dish, the overpowering saltiness left a lingering disappointment.Bohemian Bistro fell short of the stellar reputation we anticipated based on online reviews. While the Ox Tail Risotto stood out as the best dish of the evening, the liberal use of salt marred an otherwise decent experience. The restaurant could greatly benefit from reevaluating and adjusting its seasoning practices to live up to the high expectations set by its online acclaim.

What a find! Great neighborhood restaurant with surprisingly creative menu and unique presentation. Needed to find a restaurant that was open late near a movie theater that was midway point for friends getting together. Everything was delicious; the steamed oxtail dumplings, bacalao croquettes, shredded pork on tostones topped with avocado, grilled octopus, hanging skewers of chicken & shrimp, skirt steak with chimmichuri, pork chop and beef & shrimp combo. And I must mention the great desserts of bread pudding with ice cream and guava & cheese empanadas. There is live music on Friday nights which is an added plus, friendly staff, warm fun vibe with modern decor. This is not an area that crosses my path but I would definitely return for this hidden gem.

After reading so many amazing reviews, we had to see for ourselves. We were greeted by Juan and felt very welcomed from the start. It’s a small cozy little restaurant, nicely decorated. They have pretty big menu so deciding what to try was challenging. We decided to start with the fried goat cheese salad, it was pretty amazing. Probably the highlight of our meal. The ingredients were fresh and the combination of flavors were a party in my mouth. Next we tried the passion fruit ceviche. The presentation was very creative. Served in a little glass fishbowl surrounded by rocks and moss which created a beautiful cloud when water was poured over the stones. As for the taste, it was good. Not my favorite but I think that’s a personal preference. My husband enjoyed it more than I did. Overall it was tasty just took me a few bites to adjust to the sweetness of the passion fruit. And we ended with the hanging skewers. Again, fun presentation with the skewers handing over the plate of Jasmin rice. They were tasty. I preferred the chicken and shrimp to the beef as it wasn’t as tender as I expected. It is also BYOB. The presentation of the food gets a solid 5/5. The hospitality and service 5/5. The ambiance also very nice 5/5 ( I liked that the music wasn’t so loud you can’t talk to each other) the food I give 4/5. I would return and try other items in the menu. I think there is a lot of opportunity to be great. Thank you Juan for your great service!

Very friendly staff. Went last minute during valentines today with no reservation and they were able to seat us after a short wait. The manager Juan was amazing. Made us feel welcomed and very kind. Our server gave us great recommendations. We had the steamed oxtail dumplings which were great. The cheese quipes are really good, tasted very authentic. I'm looking forward to warmer weather so they can reopen their patio. Overall great local bistro, would recommend.

Visited this establishment on 1/24. The place looked impeccable, modernly decorated and the service was noticeably attentive. The affable manager visited our table and inquired about our dining experience. Everything was to our utmost satisfaction. The appetizers (chimi sliders, passionfruit ceviche and chicken volcanoes) were exquisitely prepared and our dessert (bread pudding w/ vanilla ice cream) was very good. In all, this elegantly decorated bistro has earned a second visit from us. We will return soon to have a complete dinner!
