The restaurant's atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, with a simple but attractive dining table arrangement. The food is delicious and very tasty. The ribs and lamb are perfectly grilled, juicy and tender. The fries are also very flavorful and delicious. InsyaAllah would come again whenever we're in the States.

Kanoon in Clifton is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. We ordered the T-Bone Steak and Smoked Lamb ShoulderâŠ..and wow, the meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with authentic flavors that transported us straight to the Middle East. The sides were fresh and perfectly seasoned, and everything arrived at our table hot and fast, even on a busy evening.
The service was top-notchâŠ..our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to recommend dishes that hit the spot. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the whole experience left us stuffed and smiling. This is hands-down the best spot for kabobs and Mediterranean cuisine in the area. Highly recommend to anyone craving real deal flavors!

I recently visited Kanoon Restaurant and the food was definitely the highlight. The smoked brisket was deliciousâtender, flavorful, and more than enough in portion size. The stuffed chicken was good as well, but it was missing the freekeh thatâs listed on the menu, which was disappointing.
Where the experience fell short was the reception. The staff felt very dry and unwelcoming, almost as if guests were imposing by simply being there. A warmer, more hospitable approach would go a long way in elevating the overall experience.
I truly hope they refine the hospitality side, because the kitchen is clearly doing great work.
The food was great. However the forced mandatory tip left me with a bad taste. They take your receipt and give you a terminal prompting you for a tip again, on top of the 18% gratuity they already charged you on the original receipt.
That just left me with a bad taste. I always tip anyway, but I don't enjoy being forced to tip and then being prompted to trip again.

I recently visited Kanoon and tried three dishes: the Kanoon Meat Platter, the Mix Grill, and the Boneless Ribeye Steak. Out of all of them, the Mix Grill was definitely the standout flavorful, well seasoned, and easily the highlight of the meal.On the other hand, I wouldnât recommend the Kanoon Meat Platter. It just didnât deliver the taste or quality I expected, especially compared to the other items. We arrived around 4 PM, and there were no other customers at the time. While we were seated right away, it took a noticeable amount of time before we actually received our menus, which was a bit disappointing given how empty the restaurant was.That said, the atmosphere inside Kanoon is genuinely great warm, inviting, and nicely put together. Overall, if youâre in the area, Iâd say itâs worth a one time visit, mainly for the Mix Grill and the ambiance.

My wife wanted to try out Kanoon, so we stopped by on a Saturday night. The place was moderately busy, and we were seated within a minute â a nice start.
Unfortunately, things went downhill a bit after that. We sat for about 5â6 minutes without getting any menus, so I ended up grabbing them myself from the front. It then took another 10 minutes before a server came by to take our order â only after my wife waved someone over.
On a brighter note, the ambiance is pleasant â the space feels a little tight but stylish and cozy, with a nice overall vibe.
Our food came out in a reasonable time, though oddly enough, our drinks showed up after the food. The meats and chicken were cooked well, and the portion sizes were generous â we couldnât even finish our plates. The flavor, however, fell a bit short. Everything was decent but couldâve used more seasoning or depth to really stand out. Weâd give the food about a 6/10 overall.
The surprise hit of the night was the chicken tenders, which our 4-year-old absolutely loved and rated an 8/10 (and sheâs a tough critic).
In short: good portions and decent food, but slow service and not much flavor. With a few tweaks â especially on service and seasoning â Kanoon could be a much better spot.
