This Popeye's is normally my go to at the end of the week. The service is pretty fast and it's never too packed or rowdy. In fact, it's a pretty chill atmosphere compared to some Popeyes in not so good neighborhoods.
Tonight on 11-29-2023 I was greeted by a young and professional manager name Belem. She is a charismatic person who provides excellent hospitality service with a smile. She reviews your order to provide the best excellent service, making sure that customers get everything they asked for correctly,To assure they come back again. Thank you Manager Belem. Ordered a family meal on the app. When I went to pick up my order I asked them for buffalo sauce and the worker told me my order does not come with any sauce, if I wanted any sauce it was .25 cents each. SMH. Never coming here again.
The cashier asked me what two sauces I would like for my 5 piece chicken strips. After telling her the two I preferred, I waited for my to go order.When I got home to open the box of chicken strips, there was NO sauce. Imagine eating chicken strips without sauce? I went as far as cleaning out the entire to go plastic bag to no avail (on a side note, isn't it illegal to dispense plastic bags in NJ?).There's a disconnect in the team dynamics here. It's dysfunctional. Why ask what I like when the staff that gives out the order to the customers does not fulfill it.The chicken strips were OILY and flavorless. Other than the rich oil taste, there was nothing to brag about.The rice beans, however, were the best part of the meal combo.This place gets a one-star. I recommend you check your order before leaving this place to ensure the sauces are indeed inside.

Ordered delivery through grub hub, 4 chicken sandwiches, 2 fries and 2 sodas. Delivery showed up with just 1 soda and 1 fries, rest of the order missing, grub hub refunded the order.Since then they refuse to take any grubhub orders from my account even though THEY are the ones who screwed up.

Their chicken is well cooked and flavorful. In a pinch I stopped in to get Sunday lunch for the family . The prices are reasonable since everything is pricey these days. Parking was easy. Greeted by young students. Very respectful and courteous. The place is spotless . I ordered the family packs , the Mac & cheese wasn't that cheesy but the star was the chicken they gave us flavorful meaty portions . The breast was juicy . Not greasy at all or over coated. The biscuits were buttery hot freshly made delicious. The potatoes were smooth. Like I said, the only issue was the mac & cheese. It wasn't as cheesy and it was kind of runny. I don't know if that's lack of some sort of ingredient but definitely the chicken was the star the biscuits. Everything was delicious. Their pies are to die. for I really enjoyed our meal, even though it was in a pinch, the whole experience was the delight especially on a Sunday, which gave me plenty of time to watch the games with the family.
