Rutt’s Hut is a classic spot for anyone looking to try their famous ‘ripper’ hot dogs or a solid chili cheese dog. The food is good, and the prices are very reasonable, but it doesn’t quite live up to all the hype for me. One thing to note: it’s cash only, but there is an ATM on-site if you need it. The old-school, no-frills vibe adds to the experience, making it worth a visit if you’re in the area and want to check out a New Jersey food landmark!
A Classic hot dog: 'Ripper' never fails to satisfy. Very 'rustic.' The restaurant food is a good deal. Especially the Duck L'Orange. Wednesday seems the ideal day. But don't wait till Tuesday to go! And Wednesday before Thanksgiving is very special! Pre CoVID-19 it was open LATE! I think it will go back to that eventually, I hope! You would've seen bikers and even a wedding party, after the reception, late night grabbing a bite to help sbber...
Came in and had the opportunity to sit down at Rutts Hut and lemme tell you, if you like hotdogs this is THE PLACE to go!
