Great subs!! Terrible service while ordering!

Chicken parm sub is amazing. Service is quick. The place is a bit dated, but that gives it character.

Best Subs anywhere in the State of Jersey. You can’t find a better cheesesteak anywhere. The meat is so fresh & tender. Chicken cutlets also made fresh & delicious. All of the subs are great; my personal favorite is Turkey, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato mayo, oil & vinegar & spices. Fries w Cheese & gravy make a great side, if you can fit it. Girls like me born in 1970, love this type of old school atmosphere! Makes me feel young again! P.S. don’t forget to try the BLT’s.

The sandwiches are pretty decent although the service was pretty terrible. The old man with the mask taking the order was rude and showed no interest in the customer. He hardly made eye contact at all and had a horrible attitude when taking my order. Show some better customer service.

Best sandwich anywhere! No joke I get the Italian combo with everything, it is absolutely fantastic!

Don't let the old school ambiance scare you. They make the best subs around and at a good price. Get there before 3:30 though.

Owner Billy M is one of the rudest most impolite people on the face of the earth. He has always been that way and seems to have gotten worse with age. I will go elsewhere, where my business is appreciated.

Parking: There is a lot in the back, but owner "Billy M" will come out and yell at you, assuming you are parking in "his" lot and going to another business . Jerk.

The absolutely rudest person in business in clifton.

If you want sweat dripping sandwiches go here and see how rude he is.

Go across the street to Bagel Station instead

Modest, sub shack with on-street parking near busy intersection of Clifton. This spot is a hidden gem serving up delicious, fresh, thinly sliced cold cuts and hot hero sandwiches for the locals. The shop is small, and no real dining area, but they put the attention where it belongs--on the subs! The rolls they use are soft and chewy. Onions are shaved, lettuce Shredded, nice size tomato, oil vinegar, and seasonings. Boom! It's perfection. And I don't know what I appreciate more, the smiling service the 2 guys serve up with the food or the outrageously reasonable pricing, but seriously guys, go out and support this little shop 2 doors down from Mr. Cupcake. You won't be disappointed, just thank me later.

Been going here since it was Frills. I even worked here for a very short time in high school. I’ve since moved to South Carolina, but had to come to NJ so I stopped at Troops to get some subs. The place hasn’t changed a bit and I ordered about 3 subs and some sides and every thing I ordered seemed to annoy him to the point where I was asked “are you gonna order anything else?” I’m a co-owner of a restaurant in Savannah GA and I’d never be upset if people were placing a large order. The subs have gotten smaller, but they’re still amazing. The poor service is what won’t bring me back
