Awesome Lobster Bisque Soup!

Eric Liu

Great place on Main to get some lobster if you're not in Maine! Keith and his staff were super chill, staying up late just for us, and they were as friendly as your next-door neighbors. The food was seriously delicious, especially the lobster bisque. If you're looking for a laid-back spot with great food and even greater people, check this place out; they're looking to bring some karaoke here, so be on the lookout for that!

Lobster bisque was magnificent. The understated decor has a real coastal New England style. Moxie soda in the fridge!

This place is incredible! My boyfriend is from Maine so we get lobster rolls up there all the time but this was the best lobster roll I’ve ever had! The owner is extremely nice and I will definitely be coming back here a lot

Food was excellent. Lobster rolls were all lobster meat which was sweet and tender. The New England clam chowder and coleslaw was also excellent. One of the best lobster rolls I have eaten....

The post earlier stating that all the negative reviews had a motive is absolutely incorrect. Read on....Sorry. For a new business I really looked forward to an establishment that only served Lobster Rolls! They would have to be great!!! Sadly, the extreme opposite. Very friendly owners and staff, and I know they want to please, and mean well. I had visited the establishment on the Saturday after they opened, 3/19/22. Ordered 2 lobster rolls ($22 each). They have two styles, Connecticut style - butter and lemon, and Maine style - butter and lemon. I ordered one of each. They had 4, 4 person round top tables inside. The tables were full of people waiting and others eating. Some arrived for take out. My order took 45 min to come. I counted 11 orders before mine that had come out. 45 min for them to toast a roll and add a little cold lobster meat?! The lobster seemed like it had come from a cooler. The lobster was cold, split top hot dog bun was warm, side of butter for the Connecticut. Maine had no mayo, just lemon. Both dry. No sides as they had run out of the included 2 sides per roll. Price did not drop. The lobster barely touched the top of the hot dog bun on both. ABSOLUTELY underwhelming.I realized they had just opened that week, so, maybe they are finding their way and it will improve as time goes on. I did not post this review earlier because I didn't want to say anything bad about a new place. A month later, I see that many, many of the reviews, mimic my experience, so, they haven't improved. Now the sides are an extra charge and not included with the $22 small lobster roll.I wanted to but can not recommend this place. It is nowhere near what lobster rolls are like in Maine, sorry!

Maine on Main is a great place to satisfy your lobster cravings! Their Connecticut Rolls are overflowing with lobster meat, and their service is outstanding!

I watched them process the lobsters in the shop… yeah, it’s that fresh. The employees are very knowledgeable about lobsters too, seems they’re very passionate about what they do. I will definitely be eating here again.

I’ve been wanting to try this place since it opened a few months ago. Highly disappointed. The atmosphere inside is terrible, two metal bar tables and only one dining table. Empty inside as far as decor. No other diners in sight and now I know why. The lobster rolls were served on a hot dog bun which tasted terrible. There was a good amount of lobster on it but it was very chewy, perhaps microwaved? No seasoning on the lobster or bun. My suggestion would be get better quality bread, toast the bread with garlic butter or seasoning and toss the lobster in butter because it was dry and chewy. Also add more on the menu and make the inside a restaurant atmosphere. This place could be great with some improvement

Everyone here is incredibly nice and the lobster rolls are ALL lobster. I recently went to Maine and had multiple lobster rolls and these were just as good! If you’re looking for a filler lobster roll, this isn’t the place - it’s ALL fresh lobster! Go to your local long John silvers if you want filler seafood! This ain’t it. It’s fresh lump lobster and I understand the price you pay for that. Try it before you read the unwarranted negative reviews - this place is amazing!
