When I was a young man, coming back from Trout fishing with Pops, I remember stopping here for the first time. Just came back from fishing the same stretch a river alone and I passed by...it was just as savory and delicious. This past time I ordered the Rib meal with beans and Mac n cheese. Let me tell you something, exactly what I needed and sum. These guys know what they are doing, get full! Also, don't sleep on that Jerk Chicken!

Food was on point. I had brisket, ribs, chicken, jerk chicken, hot dogs, Mac and cheese, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, pulled pork...yes I really had it all and it was really All delicious. Peaceful. We are outside during the day so there was plenty of space. Could easily accommodate or large group. The owner is one of the most generous people I've ever met in my life. He made sure we had more than enough. I highly recommend. Glad we came across this spot in our travels.

Iâve been to Texas a dozen times and have had BBQ at other places in New Jersey and this is by far the worst (Iâve tried this place twice so far before writing this). These reviews seem like they could be ghosts because Iâm shocked. Cold ribs, fatty, and way way too much hickory/smoke. I donât think Iâm going to get this smoky taste out of my mouth for a couple days. Lastly, number one red flag, you never put sauce on the ribs before giving them to the customer. Itâs smothered in their own sauce and you have no other options besides the one sauce they throw on it. They literally donât offer any others and itâs vinegar based which is not my go to. Will not be going back.

We ate from their first location food was excellent. So we went to the new spot yesterday and the food was dry and bland. The macaroni and cheese was terrible very disappointing.
I have ate at a lot of Bar B Que places that claim to have good barbecue!!Let me tell you Iâm glad I made the illegal u turn to come back !! Guy would love this place â! Definitely 10 stars in my book will be back for more ribs!!!

Whatâs just as much The Real Deal as in - the best barbecue in Hunterdon county and beyond? The staff and crew at The Real Deal are just as sweet and amazing as their top notch food. Kevin and crew are the sweetest. Theyâve catered several medium to large sized events for us, and I always order extra so I have âleftoversâ and i hide my âextrasâ away from guests because no matter how much I order, every. Single. Dish. Is wiped clean, and gone.
Their BBQ pulled pork, brisket, Cole slaw, cornbread, Mac and cheese, baked beans, and their sauces they sell retail wise are just above and beyond.
Thank you, Kevin and crew, for this absolute gem of delicious genuine BBQ every weekend. We love you guys so so much!
