Absolutely Not Worth the Hype – Pretentious, Overpriced, and Utterly Inefficient
First off, the entire checkout/ordering process is a confusing mess. It doesn’t function like a normal store, and nothing is labeled clearly. There are no signs guiding customers, and I wasn’t the only one struggling — I overheard multiple people venting about how chaotic and unintuitive the setup was.

As for the clientele… yikes. Obviously not the shop’s fault directly, but when your entire brand screams “quirky elitism,” you’re bound to attract the worst kind of pretentious hipsters — and this place delivered. Imagine a room full of 40-somethings dressed like they’re in a Wes Anderson film, with the manners of a wet sock.

Then there’s the checkout line — a total nightmare. The line was painfully slow, mostly because 1) no one knew how to actually check out, and 2) the staff were more focused on appeasing rude customers who kept adding items after paying instead of moving the line along.

And the coffee. My friend and I waited a combined total of forty minutes to get two drinks. It wasn’t even busy — it’s just that their whole process is so inefficient. I could’ve roasted the beans myself in less time.

Lastly, the prices. The prices are absurd — not in a “treat yourself” kind of way, but in a way where you have to be making 20k a day to shop there.

Save your time, your mortgage money, and your patience.

This place is great, especially for its desserts. Lemoncello cake and fruit tart are always a hit in this house!

I’ve been here a few times and am usually very impressed with the food and customer service. This time however we had a very rude cashier/server. I brought my parents, who aren’t from here, and was excited to introduce them to one of my favorite places in Collingswood. Our order included a regular coffee but the cashier used the last of the house blend jug so she said she’d make a fresh batch for us. We thanked her and sat down to wait for our food. We started eating and since the house blend hadn’t finished yet we decided to get the dark blend instead - not thinking this would be an issue. A few minutes later the cashier came up to us with a full cup of coffee - from the new jug she made. She was visibly very very annoyed saying “I made a cup of coffee for you. You wanted the house blend!” We apologized. She went back to the register and I followed her to apologize again - that’s when I heard her say to her colleagues “I HATE PEOPLE” - I again apologized, saying we didn’t realize she was making a cup especially for us - we thought she had to make a fresh jug to put out anyway since it was empty. She was still clearly angry so I apologized for a third time and said I will take the cup she made for us so it doesn’t go to waste to which she angrily replied “no I’ll just have to toss it out” - again I apologized and went to sit down.

My parents and myself are not originally from here - we didn’t know the coffee etiquette I guess. But angrily proclaiming “I hate people”, along with the rest of her attitude was totally unnecessary imo. Ruined our visit and will not be returning.

I wasn’t impressed with the food or the sweets. The flavors of the dishes I chose tasted like TV dinners. That was it for me. The media had overhyped this place..

-Background: My wife and I have been shopping here for a few years and they catered our wedding in Auburn Road Vineyard.
-What We liked:
1. The thanksgiving menu is great and convenient. The whole turkey tastes great and I will continue to go to them for the thanksgiving turkey every year I live in the area.
2. Store: The place is clean and the selection is good quality. I enjoy the different cuts of steak and bacon they offer. The chicken cutlets taste good and go well with pasta. They are easy to reheat.

Suggestion on Chicken Cutlet: I noticed the last few months, the chicken cutlet is thinner than before. I am not sure if it's just me or if there is a way to have the chicken cutlet to have a little more meat. I am willing to pay a little more, if that is possible.

3. Catering: We had them for our wedding and joe Muldoon is a personable chef. I do not know the names of the chefs involved with the catering, but all of the people involved with the catering did a great job providing amazing food for about 50 people. I would highly recommend their catering. I appreciate how Joe was flexible with the menu and setup a tasting for my wife and I to test the menu before the wedding. The guests all loved the food and the timing of the food was amazing. If I have a big event in the area, I would try to see if Haddon Culinary can cater it because it is worth the price and the preparation is worth it.

Summary: I would recommend this place overall for high quality food. The price is worth it because every time I order from there, the staff is friendly and I can see the food is prepared properly.

Stopped in after several recommendations in a foodie group and reading reviews. We grabbed the mac salad, hoagie dip and taco dip from the prepared foods case. Mac salad was sweet, not our taste, no biggie. Both the hoagie and taco dips were a bit bland. We also grabbed some pierogi from the freezer and haven't had a chance to try those. We also had a PB cup, an impulse buy at the register & a cold brew. The coffee was not for us either, it was the color of iced tea, I should have taken a picture.

Overall, the food experience was not great, but I would have #1 - bought more & #2 - returned for another try, if it weren't for the customer service or lack thereof.

We were in around 4PM on a Saturday, they're open till 6PM (this was the Haddonfield location). There was one other customer paying when we walked in. We would have liked to grab some bakery items or a sandwich, but neither employee on that side of the store even acknowledged us while we were over there. I was actually interested in a few soups, but decided to hold off. There was a singular young employee behind the coffee counter. She never acknowledged us either, even when I placed my items down and asked for a cold brew, she never even spoke. At this point we were the only customers in the store and it was so quiet, it was uncomfortable. It came off as snooty & rude. No greeting when we walked in, no conversation while "helping" us with our coffee or checkout, no goodbye or thanks for stopping in when we left.

The few items we purchased were $64, the grab and go options looked promising even with the couple we chose not being our specific taste, but customer service is a deal breaker for me. Total bummer.

Had a delicious breakfast sandwich made by Adrien! Service was terrific too. It was my first time and will definetly go back. Good selection of prepared foods and fresh made sandwiches.
