Being a realtor on the go, especially in Colts Neck, means I value meals that feel like a treat. Between their signature sandwiches and made-to-order dishes, I feel like I'm sitting in Sicily. Mambo Italiano’s authentic Italian cuisine gives me the perfect break and keeps me coming back. Plus, the owner is a gem. Definitely recommend!

Went in there for a sandwich there was barely any meat or ingredients on the sandwich for over $20. The girl behind the counter doesn't speak great English so she didn't understand what I wanted on my sandwich. Probably won't go back

I stopped by this Italian sandwich spot and was absolutely blown away! The sandwiches were fresh, flavorful, and packed with authentic Italian ingredients. What really made the experience special was Anthony, the owner—he was incredibly kind and welcoming, treating every customer like family. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and it shows in every bite. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving a great sandwich and even better service!

I went in impulsively from being hungry and in need of a quick meal. Anthony made such a delicious eggplant panini. I wish I was a local, so I can take advantage of eating here regularly. I wish he had a location in Brooklyn.

Look at that sandwich!
What a great place!!! Very clean and bright inside but the sandwiches are incredible.
The guy behind the counter (owner i believe) was extremely nice and knew everything about true Italian cuisine. A lot of his stuff is imported from various locations in Italy. The food is so great. The foccacia bread he used was softer than a marshmallow, and the desserts were even better. The meats are all top quality, you can see how he cares about what he is making over there. I'll be going back very soon. Not expensive either.

The best Sandwiches in New Jersey! The quality of the mortadela is out of this world, the olive oil is nectar bliss and the bread is spongy like the clouds. I met Anthony! What a gentleman and super friendly!!!! I highly recommend Mambo Italiano.

Times must be tough three slices of roast beef for $17. When I went to eat the sandwich, the roast beef on the ends are rainbow color, which they’re probably old and the bread is stale. Totally disgusting look at the bad rainbow color meat . I would never come here ever again.

I want to start off by saying the owner/employees are extremely welcoming and very pleasant to interact with. My review is mainly about food concerns. When walking in, I noticed all of their pre-cooked food that is to be served hot is just sitting out on a counter behind glass, it does not appear to be covered, refrigerated, or kept warm at a proper holding temp. It does get heated up in an oven prior to serving. My food had cheese on top that was not soft/melted after being in the oven, so it doesn’t seem like it gets very hot. Very shortly after eating my food, I started to feel off. Sure enough, starting that day, I had stomach issues that lasted a full week. I did not eat any other food that day before eating here. Perhaps it was just coincidence, and maybe I’m wrong, but it really appears they just let all kinds of perishable foods (vegetables, pasta, sauces, meatballs, cheeses, etc. that NEED to be kept at safe temps after cooking) just sit out at room temperature before reheating quickly. I’m really hoping I’m wrong, but it was a very rough week for me and I couldn’t imagine how the health dept would let this improper food handling fly. This first-time experience just bothered me.

I've been coming to Mambo Italiano for about a year now and they have never disappointed. Service is above and beyond friendly and warm, and the food is gourmet and delicious. Anthony is very kind and considerate - he was great at accommodating my food allergy and goes the extra mile to make sure his customers know they are valued.
