I wanted to love this place. We ate outside in Red Bank and while the service was polite and welcoming, the food was far from it. I ordered a 20 oz ribeye steak special Medium rare for $50.00 and it came out as a 12 oz strip steak, but was cooked Raw as raw can be. I politely asked for the steak to be cooked more and it came back out just as raw, but this time a little warm out the outside. I mentioned to my server that they should change the name of the steak on the special sheet because it’s not a ribeye, and she told me “oh it’s 100 percent a ribeye” Being in the restaurant business for years, it wasn’t not the right cut of steak, but she most likely didn’t know any better. My wife enjoyed her food and my sons meatballs were okay. I really wish a manager would have come over to talk to me about the steak situation instead of leaving it up to the young server to deal with.

Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant. There were two of us. We had appetizer and lunch, and it was delicious. The homemade bread is so clutch. It adds to every dish that would require a bread. Quality offering of aged meats. Lunch was so delicious. The staff was Friendly, personable and real.

The food was enjoyable, but unfortunately, the service was among the worst I've experienced in some time. I'm unsure whether it was due to the Pride themed accessories I was wearing (bracelets and earrings) or because I'm Hispanic, but the treatment was noticeably dismissive. Waited for our (Fiancé & I) mocktails for about 15 minutes while others who came in after us got it right away within 2 minutes. Our server checked in once, immediately after the food arrived, but before we had even taken a bite, and then ignored our table for the next 30 minutes. The restaurant was small and only had 2 other tables occupied, so she was not super busy. We had to flag her down just to get the check. Ridiculous.

Overall the food was really good. I had a margherita Pizza which was really good, and probably in my top 5 NJ pizzas, (I'm also from southern Jersey for some context). my wife had a traditional which was also good, but I thought the sauce and cheese(which is homemade apparently) tasted better on mine. My one son got the chicken parm, which was delicious, and my other son got the La Zozzona pasta, which I would say was the biggest disappointment of our visit.
Anyone not familiar with it, it is essentially like a hybrid of the roman pastas, amatriciana and carbonara. For a $30 plate of pasta, which IMO is insane, you would expect atleast a decent portion size, and for the dish to not skimp on the pecorino romano and guanciale. it was difficult to even find the guanciale in the dish, either because it was scarce, or the pieces we did find were cut very tiny and thin. It tasted good, but but was just alot more tomato, than egg/cheese, and wasnt as creamy and rich as expected. If it was given to me blind, I would have just assumed it was pasta with a red sauce and nothing special, which is why the $30 price tag hurt even more.
To be honest, all of their pasta dishes are $$$$, just Penne with a vodka sauce is $28, which is the cheapest. I could understand if the portion were larger, and if they had a lot more meat/seafood. I was just at a high end italian place in philly the week before, and their most expensive pasta dish with Calamari in it was $28.
I dont write this review to bash the place, but to simply give and honest opinion. I know its a tough business, but The food overall was great, we were just disappointed at the juxtaposition of the price of the pasta dish and what we ended up getting. Especially after seeing a dish like Zozzona, where you dont see most places, and most people never heard of it, we were excited.

Just a note about bar seating... they cater to regulars with big bux....these people are loud, arrogant, and act like they own the place, cursing and acting like idiots. A nice quiet night with my husband was nightmarish. Linguine with clams was very small with liquor prices exorbitant. If you drive a Ferrari and cuss alot, this is the bar for you. Many staff members standing around, trying to look busy. Sketchy vibe. Look elsewhere.

Super expensive! The first location is much more afforable, which makes it difficult to swallow over paying so much. These are 5 star prices, and not a 5 star dish. Its good, but not THAT GOOD. I live in Colts Neck and I strong suggest people do not go here unless you want to be ripped off. If they fix their prices, I would happily refer my friends and family to it. $800 for 4 people!

my first time visiting this restaurant. there are 3 locations and there is another one closer to where i live, but i happen to be in the holmdel area. we didn’t look up the menu before coming, just took a chance. we were immediately greeted with a beautiful smile by our waitress, laura. she was so lovely, personable and sweet!!! i know she was busy but yet she still took some time to chit chat with us. we went for lunch and ordered the diavolo pizza. she recommended both a delicious red and white wine according to our personal tastes. she was well informed about the menu and accommodated to our allergies. at the end of the meal, she gave us vouchers for complimentary wine for our next visit. i’ll certainly come back to this location as well the one closer to my house. simply delicious food, great atmosphere and i loved the music. 5 stars ⭐️
