Went to Sandy Hook/Gunnison for Labor Day weekend. Our hotel said they didn't have our reservation and had no rooms available! We were so upset!! So we went online and found this place and we were grateful for it! Until we walked into the room. This place is absolutely disgusting! Filthy! ?Cockroaches in the bathroom. ? We got the honeymoon suite. No joke!! It's on the website. After taking a shower, I DID NOT want to but had to, my feet were BLACK after walking around the room for about a minute. We took the quilt we brought for the beach and put it on the bed so we would not come into contact with the surface of the bed. It was the dirtiest THING that I have ever been in. I wanted to sleep in the truck but my guy convinced me that we would be fine and he was exhausted from the drive after working all week. He was right. I couldn't keep complaining and then drag him around looking for something better. Bottom line: THIS DWELLING IS THE OPITAMY OF DISGUSTING!!!!! ???????????????????????

This was the worst room I've ever stayed at. I booked a room with two beds, I know I did.... they insisted I didn't, and so charged me extra to "upgrade."I use quotes because the "upgraded" room had many off putting traits.- The lock to the door was held together by duck tape...- Both beds had stained sheets and burn holes in the blankets.- The tap water smelled like sulfur... I didn't notice it the first time I brushed my teeth, but wanted to shower off after spending the day on Asbury beach... couldn't do it. Rinsed my face with bottled water instead.I would've complained to the front desk, but judging by the conditions I know that it would be falling on deaf ears.They clearly don't care. At all. But they want your money anyway. How do people run a business without having any pride in it? Place is a run down hole.

I've been to 32 countries and this was the nastiest place I've ever seen. We didn't even stay the night. There was mold, dirty and stained sheets and pillows, trash in the bed, a used band aid taped to the wall, the toilet was dirty, no towels or toilet paper, broken tv. Don't go here. We ended up going to the Red Roof.

Just finished a 3 night stay there. Simply Putrid. The room reeked of cigarettes and despair. If you need a place to go smoke crack in seclusion on the cheap, this may be for you. Interior door jamb replaced (but not finished). Look as if the PD might have needed to use battering ram on it. I slept on top of the covers in my clothes. Bathroom was awful. Water worked but thats the only positive thing I can say (it smelled like sulfur). Toilet wobbly. Shower head barely worked. Blood stained fingerprints on wall next to bathroom. 1 crappy little thread bare 40 year old towel. Went back to office ask for 2 more, and the attendant acted like I was asking for a foot massage or something. Half the lights didnt work. It made me sad to be there.

To begin, as we parked our motor vehicle an enlarged man emerged out of his room and began attempting to sell me and my children Marijuana! Disgrace to begin with. We checked in thinking nothing could get worse. Oh boy, we checked into our room 206 and there was dried blood on the sheets and as well a vivid smell of cigarettes. The lights to the bathroom did not work either. Checked in and out in the timespan of 30 mins. Stay the f*#k away.

I tried to get a room at this place. I was trying to pay with cash. The guy working there told me my money was fake. Gave him 3 more bills and he said all were fake. He used a black permanent marker to mark them. All because he didn't want to let us get a room. I checked myself and all the money was real. I let him know that it was all real. Tried to call the manager and the person working said they didn't know when the manager would be in.

Initially I thought it was really nice. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and at first I thought the room was very nice with the fancy lover bed ? but then we used the bath tub (which I always bring Lysol to clean it myself before using) and when the jets turned on the water got all brown and gunky ? the water even had a funky smell to it. I give this place 2 stars because I didn’t have much of an issue with the rest of my experience.

Just horrific. The room they gave us stank terribly, was filthy (dirt, trash, and debris in the bathroom and drawers), and the tipping point was the toilet wouldn’t flush. Husband and I went down to bring the toilet issue to the attention of the couple working the front desk, they gave us another room. This one was still dingy and crummy, but the facilities seemed to work and it was a bit less smelly. However later in the evening we realized that the carbon monoxide detector was broken, and worse yet that the door would not close all the way and consequently couldn’t be bolted. Just insanely unsafe and unhygienic and we just wanted out at that point.So we go back down and ring the bell to just cut our losses—check out and ask for a refund. When we do so, the man aggressively yells NO and the woman says we can have 50% back; fine, whatever, we take it. While we are processing the partial refund, the man is loudly making rude comments about us, calling the situation “ridiculous.” Which actually, I wholeheartedly agree with him on! It is ridiculous to rent out rooms with non-working toilets, door that don’t shut all the way, etc. Not sure why he found it ridiculous that we didn’t want to stay in those conditions, but I will say that when we spoke to him earlier and at the end of the evening, he was slurring his words and smelled strongly of alcohol.I did not feel comfortable sitting down in this place much less sleeping in it all night. A building inspector really needs to come check this place and SHUT IT DOWN. Desperately wish I had heeded the multiple other 1-star reviews but we are honestly such low maintenance people normally that we thought it would be fine for one night. but there was no way. just no way.

My husband booked a room at this motel for 3 nights. The first night of staying there my step son woke up with bed bug bites all over him. We have pictures of the nest of bed bugs in the bed. My husband tried to get his money back and they only gave him back for 2 nights. This place is disgusting and needs to be red tagged!! I would not recommend anyone to stay at this motel.
