I don't usually take time to write reviews, but this restaurant is a joke. The chef can not handle any kind of volume. (By volume, I mean more than a couple of tables.) It was comical watching two inexperienced waitresses literally collide with each other, drop plates and knock a wall hanging off near the kitchen. (Still askew after being rehung.)The food is an attempt at modern American cuisine. Because the place lacks adequate help in the kitchen, there is no quality control or pacing to meals. We were one of two occupied tables in the dining section. The wait was so long we chatted with the other table in disbelief. 1 1/2 hours before any food was served. I understand the "made to order" concept, but the food was beyond delayed and not fully cooked! Don't offer quail if you can not prepare it properly. Sections of raw uncooked meat is not only unappetizing, it's a health hazard. The other table ordered brussels sprouts sans bacon, only to discover huge chunks of pork belly in it. (The fried sprouts were also the cause of billowing smoke entering the dining room.) The "Oh, sorry" exclamation from the waitress seemed insincere, like she's had to say those words too often. We kept looking for a camera, thinking we were part of a practical joke/reality cooking show. Innovative dishes are hard to come by in a small rural community. We so wanted to like this place. But it is amateur hour all around.
Went for a friends birthday, fell in love.
Love Ellias! The pasta bolognese is to die for and the short rib burger is amazing!!!
excellent food and service in a relaxed atmosphere
I cannot comment on the food or drink... We were driving through the area around 9:45pm and there was a tornado warning.
Highly recommended, every meal is a peace of art and it tastes as good as it looks.
Excellent service and superb food. We had the octopus and the escagots to start and then finished with the duck which was incredible.
Not the best dining experience we've had. Servers were all acting quite frantic and therefore inattentive even though the restaurant wasn't very full. One was downright cranky. Two of our four dishes weren't very good (penne bolognese and duck). Clam appetizer and cocktails were tasty.
Ellias is a Gifted Chef!
If you are looking for the most delicious amazing food, you must stop by. The food is a work of art and the staff is just wonderful. If you go during the winter nights I recommend making a reservation by the fireplace.

For a spur of the moment quiet dinner, Elias has frequently been the restaurant we both think of. The entrees are imaginative, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented with style.
I love this place. The porkchop, rack of lamb, quail and the ribeye burger were all cooked and served perfectly. Our server, Catherine, was bubbly and attentive. She and Chef Elias went above and beyond to cater to our special orders, to the extent of creating a custom dish. We can't wait to go back!
We are regulars. Great experience, always. Creative chef!
Eclectic menu, cute interior and a super great staff.
Charming atmosphere with a fire crackling in the fireplace and amazing menu choices! Our server, Emma, greeted us with a bright smile and continued to check on us frequently. The angus steak was perfect! My choice for dessert was apple crisp with ice cream. The fresh, thin sliced apples were topped with a sweet & crunchy topping. My husband enjoyed the calamari appetizer and penne bolognese as well as a huge slice of creamy cheesecake. We will be back soon!
