Ok. So I didn't want to bash this place but honestly the food was terrible. I had the brisket chopped and it was soggy, watery grease, and had an unpleasant smell. The meat was bland and the smoke didn't exist. The Mac & Cheese didn't taste fresh more like leftovers and the collards taste like they came out a can. Staff was nice and polite and definitely had a great vibe but BBQ was not on the menu. It was twelve o clock when I went and there was no smoke pouring out of that place so I would imagine nothing I ate was prepared many hours ahead of time.

They also proudly boast a military discount at the Cookstown location across the street from Joint Base.?? They are award winning for a reason. Great ribs ! I was late for sliced brisket ? had to get "chopped " brisket which was like a pulled beef. A little saucey for me but tender. They sell bacon wrapped poppers ?. I do alot of cooking and alot of reviews and this was a great stop and I will recommend them to anyone wanting great BBQ. Great job!

Ive tried the chicken and Brisket. Chicken was great and had the perfect BBQ smoked flavor along with the brisket also. Though the brisket kinda lacked it still was enjoyable. The BRUSSEL SPROUTS THOUGH!!!!! OMG I will go just for them alone!!!!

We arrived on a Saturday evening to a nearly empty restaurant (in fairness, it was like 4:30pm...we skipped lunch that day...). After heading inside and looking thru the menu, we noticed quite a few people that came to pick up orders to go. We decided to pick a few different things to try. There are plenty of options on the menu, typical BBQ fare (pulled pork, pulled chicken, chili, brisket, ribs, wings, mac and cheese, fries, corn bread, etc.). You order at the counter and they bring it to your table once you sit. Our food was brought out quickly and was very good. Portions were large enough that we brought a bunch home with us too. We'll definitely be back.

Found this joint by accident about 7 years ago, and they've always been on time with the flavor, the portions AND the service. Honest review though, if you're looking to dress up and have a champagne soaked formal dinner, maybe pop in another time. However, if you don't mind getting your hands a little dirty, (papertowls!) and the idea of having an up close and personal relationship with some authentic BBQ appeals to you, then look no further.

I’ve been to this location a handful of times as my dad is at the memorial cemetery nearby. The food has always been very good but on this particular visit the food was exceptional! The chopped brisquet is usually my go to but the pulled pork was equally as good and the ribs spot on also. All were cooked and seasoned perfectly but that Carolina pork sauce and the original bbq def take it up a notch. We were considering trying a different bbq spot nearby but I am glad we did not!

The barbeque is out of this world! I'm from the barbeque capital of the world( Memphis), and this spot ranks pretty high on the barbeque meter for me.The service was outstanding,the ambience very inviting..and if I lived in this area,I would come here at least once a week.Kudos to the owner and staff!
