Tony's Open Kitchen is a great Italian addition to the neighborhood. I recently went to dinner her with a group of 10. Everyone enjoyed their food. The pasta entrees were a hit and the Regolare Pizza was great (ohh.. that sauce). The service was fast and efficient. I ordered then eggplant parmigiana, which was awesome and a plentiful portion size. I liked the fact that it was not deep fried, but instead lightly battered and baked. The accompanying vegetables were all so flavorful and delicious. The complimentary bread was hot, fresh and tasty out of the oven. It's a BYOB, so that's a plus. I look forward to going back and trying some of the other entrees. Note: They charge 3% for using a credit card and will only do up to 3 credit cards per table. That created a bit of an issue with 10 people, since not everyone had cash on hand.

What a great restaurant. It's clear that the staff is proud of the food which makes the place even better. The pizza is great (I'd call it Detroit Style) and the entrees are excellent, I recommend the linguine with puttanesca and the stuffed long hots, but everything I've tried has been well prepared and flavorful.

Excellent environment, and even better service!! Been in twice, with Julia as our waitress both times. Highly recommend! And if you're in for a pizza, get the Fantasia...you won't be disappointed!

Excellent hidden gem in Cranbury, NJ.Found a menu at my local lottery store and decided to give this place a shot. Three of us for lunch and everything was perfect. The open, airy seating with high ceilings is definitely appealing. Restaurant is new, clean and spotless.Fried Calamari appetizer needed a lil more crunch but still not bad.We ordered the Chicken Parm , Eggplant Parm which was nice and thin, exactly how we like it. The linguine con vongole maybe a little salty but absolutely delicious. Service was decent. Not bothersome at all but getting a check was a bit long for a not busy lunch. This is a fantastic spot and will be back. BYOB makes it even better! My new favorite restaurant!Parking: Ez and free parking at this location which is in the new Cranbury Commons strip mall.

Having been born and raised in Cranbury NJ we have eaten at Teddy's and the Cranbury Inn many times for over 60 years which we enjoy. Tony's was more than enjoyable. It was fantastic! Veal was tender and saucy and cheesy and amazing! Caesar salad was great ?! Can not wait to try other dishes. Thank you Tony's!!!

Food was underwhelming. Maybe we caught them on an off night. Not interested in trying again

Since this is a new restaurant in our town, I am going to give them an extra 1/2 star as I hope they make it. Overall, the food is good. They needed more staff as it was clear that they did not have enough people working on a Saturday night to stay on top of everything. When we walked in, it took them about 5 minutes to recognize we were there while multiple wait staff ignored us. We had a margarita pizza for appetizer. It was good, not great. The style of pizza is a little unique. It's, I guess, NJ bar style. Relatively thin and square. The sauce was good, but the cheese on top was not cooked enough. The crust was nice and crispy. I had eggplant parmigiana for my main it was pretty good but not great. My wife had pasta with crab, which was not great. The desserts were very good, although not homemade. We had the Tiramisu, which was very good, and the lemon pie. The place itself is modern and nice inside, but it lacks a bit of atmosphere. I would call it about half a level above a pizza place. They need to get me staff and maybe add some more things to make it not seem so sparse, but overall, it's better than just a pizza place, and hopefully, over time, they get a little better.

Went in for a pickup order and the guy behind the counter was a complete jerk and very rude, not sure how this place has stayed in business treating customers that way. Food was also sub par.

The food here is excellent! We ordered the salmon and shrimp risotto with a lemon sauce and it was exquisite. The pizza regolare is simply the best pizza around. Fried squid was the best I have had in years-very fresh and juicy/tender. The desserts are hard to resist- grandmother's cake, chocolate cake, tartufo -all delicious. Portions are gigantic! The staff is on top of their game, Tony the owner is a gem as is Giuseppe, Carlo, George, Luis and Rudi is super adorable and a very professional and accommodating waiter.

I can’t say enough about this restaurant and its staff. Because I was ill I was unable to prepare an entree to bring to my son’s. From a previous visit, we knew their food was excellent. We called them the last minute before Christmas Eve and they were able to prepare a large baked ziti for us. The entire staff was happy to go above and beyond to help us out. We really appreciate them and urge everyone to visit them and enjoy their food and hospitality. They even offered to give me soup to take home to help me feel better.
