I’m a local and wanted to try this restaurant. The service was good however in each food dish there was hair. Then they brung out another plate and there was hair in that one as well.
They took the plates back did not even offer to take it off the bill.
Wouldn’t recommend for sanitation purposes.

I have been coming for 2 years and every time the food is delicious. The chicken kabobs are tender and flavorful. The staff is very attentive to your needs. Cresskill has become a very nice place for lunch and dinner and Chef Mediterranean makes all other Mediterranean restaurants stand behind it. They are by far the best on the street. Be sure to stop by and check them out.

Food: Clean, flavorful and well thought. Everything we got was very delicious, icli kofte was amazing, iskender kebap was solid, salads were nice. Green salad is kind of a place holder nothing interesting stay away. Desserts also great, make sure to get a turkish coffee. Also lamb chops were bomb
A favorite local spot without a doubt. Wonderful staff, service and cuisine. They offer a great lunch menu and dining experience for dinner as well. Highly recommended!

This is our "Go-To" place for delicious home-made Turkish/Mediterranean food. The 2 chefs are marvelous and everything we have tried is wonderful - appetizers, entrees and desserts. Prices are reasonable; portions are substantial and everyone seems to leave with enough leftovers for a yummy meal at home. The staff is attentive and polite; it feels like family,. Every time we go there are large tables of locals enjoying their ethnic food. If this is where they go for home cooking, that's good enough for me!

I have been to the restaurant 4 or 5 times and have had consistently good service and food. I was there last night and had a very bad experience. I ordered a falafel platter and my wife ordered chicken shish kebob. My dish was so over fried, it was inedible. My wife’s dish came out cold. Adding to that, we had a waitress who seemed totally disinterested in what she was doing, took our dishes away, never asked why most of the dish was left over and never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. When we paid the check, no thank you was offered. It was a truly terrible meal.
I never thought I would be the one to write about the racism, but if it’s that, then I felt it today at this restaurant!!!The waitress clearly showed discontent of serving us at the table full of brown people. I went to Chef Mediterranean for lunch today and the waitress was so rude that she kept giving us an attitude as if she is not happy to serve us. She also wouldn’t come when I requested her to come to our table while the restaurant had only two other tables occupied. However, I noticed that she went running to the table with white ethnicity. She gave vinegar and olive oil with bread to all the other tables with white ethnicity and didn’t give us. When I asked her, she said we don’t usually give but I’ll get for you as if it was a favor. That was ridiculous!!! I even asked her if she was having a good day and pat came a reply that she can’t help it if I think she is not!!!

Had an excellent meal here. Hummus was incredible. Mixed grill? Wow. Only thing that was meh was the falafel. Cooked a bit hard for my taste but everything else was perfect. My waitress was very kind and helpful. I'll most definitely be back

Jeez, 4.7 stars? You people who reviewed this have VERY low standards or questionable taste buds. The shrimp special in cream sauce was brutally tasteless. The falafels were ok, rice pilaf was pretty good but, c’mon, shrimp is pretty easy to make!
