Directly in front of you on the beach has limited swimming due to rip current and rocks... So you need to go down and to the right a substantial amount before swimming so be2lware if you want to keep an eye on kids that they'll be out of eyesight.
The Conover beach is well maintained, family friendly with a pleasant, accommodating staff. Plenty of parking. One very nice feature is a partially enclosed deck just by the entrance to the beach as you walk in. It is a shady spot with tables and chairs for enjoying a snack or getting out of the sun for a bit.Really like it here.
Randomly found this gem on a drive, it is a gorgeous gem of a beach, it is well maintained and it has many other amenities as well. No boardwalk here, just a nice beach that would be ideal for someone who is looking to relax.
