We love Chico’s Mexican Grill in Denville NJ. The food is always delicious and the bar makes yummy fun drinks. Love the new table side margarita bar. It’s like dinner and a show or lesson on how to make amazing drinks.

I love the food the service everyone is so friendly
I'm not really sure what's going on with this place! Is a very nice restaurant..good food..but worst service ever!! Every time my husband, our baby and I went there to eat..the servers weren't the best. When they talked to us they had a face like we were annoying them..or even the tone of voice .. idk. Is gonna be a little long, but I'll explain all the details! Today for example I got an order to go. I called in advance thinking I didn't have to wait. Sure thing...that didn't happen!! I had to go with my daughter and they let me wait at least 10/15min at the entrance (they only had one table to attend) to tell me that I had to go to the bar to pick up my order. Ok..fine. I went to the bar. The lady was making a drink so I waited bc I didn't want to interrupt and be rude. She came to me, I told her I have an order to pick up, told her my name, gave her my card, she took the payment and left! SHE LEFT ME HANGING THERE WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING! There was a bag on the counter but instead of being noisy and dig in to see if it was mine I called her. At least 4 times! Guess what? She ignored me!! Then I tried to reach for the bag to see the name but it was hard for me to grab it. I'm 5ft tall, pregnant! and the bag was on the other side of the counter, not to mention the amount of chairs in the middle, I really struggled to reach the damn bag. Then she saw me and another server came to ask me if it was mine. I'm like...I don't know! Your coworker just made me pay and left!
I'm so disappointed! I brought a lot of friends to this place..but I'm not coming back! And I'll tell everyone I know is not worth it this place!

I've ate at Chicos several times (both in the restaurant and to go). The times I ate in the restaurant, it was a relatively good example. I haven't been wowed by any of the meals I've had there, they all seem decent but nothing to write home about. My biggest complaint comes from take out. Both my husband and I have had the same experience a few times, so now we don't order take out from there. We go in to pick up our and we are left waiting when it turns out our food was sitting at the bar getting cold. Last time I said something to the manager (I believe it was) and he just apologized. Didn't offer any form of discount or pay for my drink, nothing. I always try to be far and understanding, I worked in a restaurant so I get it. But last time was the final straw. I saw what I thought might be my order come out of the kitchen and put on the bar. Several staff members walked by it, including the bar tender who knew I was there for my to go order and the manager. He finally looked at it.
Just very disappointed

The food is delicious, service is always great, I definitely recommend Mar y Tierra dish. Music is way too loud though, not sensored and full on loud reguetón the whole time.

It was my choice to go to Chicos this past Friday for a family dinner out. I recalled really enjoying it there. No so much any more. First and foremost distraction was that music. It was the super repetitive, bass-driven kind of anonymously "Latin" music that I would expect to hear booming out of a tuner Honda. Not really family dinner music. We arrived to an empty host station. The wait was really short, but still didn't love the reception. Decorating style is cheap and stereotypical. It looks like someone splurged at Target from the day-after sale for Dios De Los Muertos. Food was totally flavorless, pasty, hot without savor, just very unimaginative. Prices are not horrific, but seem high given the low quality of the food. Server was friendly enough but didn't visit often and seemed harried and muddled, even though it really wasn't very busy at all. There just wasn't any joy in the place. No fun. No spirit. So disappointing.

Nice Mexican restaurant with a wide selection of food and drinks! The decor is vibrant and authentically Mexican, creating a fantastic atmosphere. They have an impressive variety of mezcal options. The service is very good, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.
From the chips and salsa to the appetizer to the main course. Everything was awesome, super good.
