The store is very well presented and the service is excellent but the actual pastries are just so-so. We had their Nutella croissant, pain au chocolat, pistachio beignet and a cinnamon pastry. First, there was NO hazelnut flavor at all in the Nutella croissant- no Nutella either - and it was dense and flavorless. Such a shame. The filling in the beignet was small and all to one side, pastry also very dense like bread. The namesake pain au chocolat was the best representative of the bunch.

Chocolatine is one of our favorite local pastry places. If you want high quality croissants, macaroons, mini beignets, and so many other great pastries go here. The owners are very friendly and actually care about providing good food for the community.

I wanted so much to love this bakery and give it 5 stars. I drove from far and ordered a lot of different items because they made high promises of quality. Overall, the food had a day old taste. I was expecting freshness and my tastebuds to sing but it was disappointing. Chocolatine underdelivered. If you're nearby and have bakery cravings it's probably worth stopping by. But this is not a place to go out of way for. Hopefully, that changes.

BEST kept secret in Denville, NJ!! Flaky, buttery croissants in sooo many flavors! My “go to” is the chocolate almond! Give it a try for a treat with your morning coffee or afternoon delight! Hesitate to even mention the beignets filled with chocolate and raspberry for fear they will run out!!

Chocolatine is the French bakery I didn't think I needed in my life, and now I can't eat croissants anywhere else. Their croissants are some of the best ones I've ever had in my life. Perhaps even better than the ones I've had in Paris. While a detriment to my weight loss goals, the croissants and other pastries are WORTH it. Everything is great here. The cafe lattes are great as well.

Chef Cédric's' prepares incredibly delicious creations of artistry, masterfully. A true hidden gem, not to be missed. Make sure you get there early before the goods are gone, or per order!
