Great food, great drinks, and great service, all for an incredibly reasonable price -- but it's the PEOPLE who work here that really make this place special. When everyone cares for each other like extended family (and treats you like it too), and is a barrel of laughs besides, you know there's a reason this establishment has as many regulars as it does. It started with the hostess who wouldn’t look up from her phone and worsened when we sat in the bar area. Waited 15 minutes before being acknowledged and then another 10 before she returned. We had to go to the bartender to get silverware because our food arrived and then never saw the server again

Fantastic Irish pub in the center of downtown Denville. Very attentive friendly and outgoing service. The entire staff makes you feel welcome. Decent menu with typical pub fair and of course Irish pub offerings as well. Fantastic beer menu with a phenomenal varied selection. I chose the fish and chips which were cooked perfectly, great taste and well proportioned. They offer seating in the dining room as well as a plentiful amount of seating in the bar area as well. Great atmosphere and on the night I was there they were decorating for Halloween! Definitely a recommended restaurant that I discovered while on a work trip in the area.

Last Friday my best friend and I decided to stop at thatchers. I recently discovered what bangers & mash are, when I saw it was on the menu, I was very excited to try from an Irish pub! The sausages must have been frozen along with the veggies. When you think of sausage, you think of a nice SNAP. The sausages they had were soft and extremely salty, you could tell not made fresh. The mashed potatoes were from a box. It’s very sad that I can make a better bangers & mash at home compared to a real IRISH pub. Just be ready for less than mediocre frozen food from here.
