This is NOT the same Viking Bakery that was soBeloved for decades and was wonderful. This place was bought by a Latino place next door, by two Local hs grads (sources can be googled and found all over the Denville Reddit and on The Nextdoor app for Denville) who took the place over, turned it into a ***Hispanic bakery, CHANGED ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING, including recipes and the menu….. and now ONLY make Hispanic inspired backed goods. Good luck getting good seasame street cupcakes HERE! (Literally delicious everywhere and easily found….good luck doing so here).Best part? They kept the name And simply added OS at the end of The original Name of “Viking” bakery to “vikingOS” ….” VIKINGOS BAKERY” — def not sketchy at all (insert eye roll).THAT is how they have managed to trick decades and decades of the loyal clientele of the orginal**** and of the ***GOOD bakery, in an attempt to deceive them into keeping their business.It has NOT gone over well. Everyone in Denville apparently wants them gone and finds this absurdity and attempted manipulation so maliciously deceptive and disingenuous that they want them GONE! Like, from the entire town.So Don’t waste your time. If this is what they do to the massive amounts of previously loyal customers that the original bakery had for generations, rather than actually work to reearn their loyalty themselves….well, that speaks VOLUMES as to the quality of their lowest common denominator “baked goods”. I will NEVER be returning.* recommend: Go to Swiss Chalet Bakery in Morristown for your regular baked goods needs.

I contacted them to make a cake for our mom's 70th birthday and it was perfect. They communicated well with me. The cake was delicious and everyone loved it. Will definitely go back to them for another cake!

Ordered a dessert platter for Christmas. It contained a variety of desserts; brownies, cake pops, cannoli, eclairs, and cream puffs. All of our guests were able to find something they liked. We picked it up on Christmas Eve and everything was still very fresh on Christmas Day.

phoned to inquire about a 30th birthday cake, and the lady mentioned that she'd arrange for the manager to return my call, but I never received that callback. This marks the third bakery to follow this pattern. I'm uncertain if my request was bothersome to them, but this isn't a way to handle customer service.

What an incredible experience. We were coming into Denville for an extended weekend which happened to be my wife's birthday. I ordered the cake, picked it up and when we all sat down to a slice it was just incredible. Great service and great taste. Highly recommend you use Vikingos.

What a shame. The cream puffs and eclairs were stale and the filling varied from non-existent to not quite custard. The brownies were just okay and the young kids did not eat their cupcakes. Just disappointing.

Sadly, the cake that my family ordered for my birthday was nothing like the photo that was provided. In addition to the poor cake decorating the cake itself was dry and far from gourmet. We will be going elsewhere in the future.

Today I picked up cookies as a treat for my kids after school. They were rock hard and inedible. Sadly a waste of money and my kids were upset that their snack had to be tossed since they were so stale. I used to love this place and was incredibly disappointed to see the quantity to have dropped to this level. Sadly I won’t be returning.

Not what it used to be...Paid $40 for a cookie, 4 pastries, and cup cakes even though the register said $25. I did not understand what the woman said as an explanation either. Won't be going back.
Never again. The cannolis were only half filled the chocolate surprise pastry was dry and disgusting. The only surprise was the bland taste the chocolate had. The cheese cake pastries were burnt and tasteless. I would have been better off going to shoprite or weis and pay a little more but it will be better. Time to look for another bakery...
