Mt Fuji Japanese Restaurant

The most beautiful plate of sushi I have seen in this area. Their food is not just delicious, but true art. The service was amazing. The restaurant is very clean and the menu is reasonable priced.

Took my family here last night for my stepdaughters birthday and would give 100 stars if I could. Staff very nice and attentive as well as the food was amazing. We had hibachi and a few sushi rolls. Will be a regular here now!

We went to a Mt Fuji closer to home and the service was good, and so was the food, I also tried the green tea ice cream which I 😉 quite tasty.

My son wanted to go to Hibachi for his birthday. So we came here and they were super friendly and nice. They brought out a little cake and song him Happy Birthday without even us asking. It was super sweet. All of the employees are super nice

This review is strictly for sushi takeout from the Deptford Mt. Fuji location.

We ordered sushi for takeout, and unfortunately the rolls were very skimpy not much salmon in them. They were noticeably small and seemed to be made that way simply to fit into the takeout containers. For the prices they charge, the portions are not a good value.

It appears they may do well in other areas, but based on our experience, I cannot recommend Mt. Fuji for takeout sushi. They should do a better job and give customers what they are paying for.

We went to Mt Fuji with a party of 7 to celebrate a birthday. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed it. Six of us ordered the hibachi and one ordered sushi. Everyone was pleased. The food was delicious and the portions generous. Even the two in our party who were in their pre-teens enjoyed the experience. Highly recommended and will definitely go again.

Every time I come to Deptford, I stop in. This is my favorite hibachi! The food is always delicious and the best part is how the servers know my order,exactly,every time!, This kind of service really makes you feel special and that is the reason why I will always come back here.

Fabulous restaurant. Food is absolutely amazing! Staff is extremely attentive and friendly. The atmosphere on the Hibachi side is fun and festive. Chef is incredibly talented and gets the entire table involved in the fun! It is a pleasure to watch his presentation of each dish. Sushi chefs are also great! My family and I have been coming here for over 10 years - we never had a bad meal. I highly recommend Mt. Fuji for both sushi and hibachi - you will not be disappointed!

Very much enjoyed our experience and the food was cooked perfectly and tasty. It was loud but I think that was just the table nearest us. Pricey but not surprising. Will definitely go back.

It’s been my favorite place to get sushi for over a decade now. The only time my food wasn’t good was Spring 2025 because everything I ordered had cucumbers in it. 1-2 days after we got it, it comes out that there were cucumbers with salmonella through NJ. And I mean the taste of the cucumbers were so bad I couldn’t eat my food. So the only issue that I’ve ever had wasn’t due to any fault from the restaurant. It was just a bad coincidence that NJ had a salmonella outbreak on cucumbers. I still recommend to everyone!

Love the hibachi at this restaurant! You get so much food, so its a good value overall! Our chef was great and our waitress was very attentive. Reservations needed for hibachi on the weekends!
