I truly love table 42, the food is good & they have full bar which is nice. The pizza is really good as well as the fried meatballs !

Please work on pizza recipe has very little flavor felt like all i ate was toasted bread. And please encourage bar staff to be a little more friendly everytime I go I just get weird looks and very little attention.

Table 42 is a traditional Italian staple and a true gem in Dover. While we will always miss Chuck, we hope the new owner preserves the incredible ambiance and vibe that keeps the regulars coming back! There's simply no other place like it. A huge part of why we return is Mauricio the Chef, who makes the best pasta fagioli, and the wonderful servers like Joannie. We go for that unique feeling as much as for the fantastic food. Table 42 reminded me of Cheers, I truly hope it doesn’t lose its uniqueness.

Where do I start? Food was awesome! I'm picky with lasagna and loved it. Great atmosphere. Real friendly service. Everyone who works there greeted us and where friendly throughout the evening. Found this place through Groupon and is definitely worth the drive. Already wondering when we're coming back. Thanks for the great night guys! "Fritz" lol

So, I have mixed reviews on this spot. Firecracker calamari was very bizarre. Fresh calamari, almost perfectly cooked. Thank goodness we got the "firecracker" sauce on the side. It was balsamic glazed with what appeared to be small pieces of mushrooms. No cherry peppers in site :( The country style chicken had the physical appearance of boiled chicken as well as boiled sausage. Not aesteticly pleasing, at all. However, the chicken was tender and the sauce had a good flavor. The onions weren't cooked properly so they had a raw crunch to them. Womp, womp. Even the breadsticks that came to our table looked so amazing. The egg wash gave them a beautiful shine, however they were solid and cold. Seemed to have been brought out of a fridge and put in an oven for just a minute. Only the very outside were barely warm to the touch, but like I said, the inside was hard and cold. My grilled chicken, roasted red pepper fresh mozzarella sandwich had a miniscule amount of mozzarella, and for some reason had very large pieces of mushroom on them. Luckily, I don't have a problem with mushrooms so I did keep the sandwich as it was (once we figured out it wasn't eggplant as the server had guessed). The pasta came with fresh sauce it was a little on the sweet side, so much like all the dishes that came to the table I had to salt it. I won't ever complain about dishes have no salt, because it's always preferred rather than there being too much salt. Leslie, was our server. She was attentive, and friendly. Everything we asked was done quickly and with a smile. We would go back to give it another shot. Maybe it was an off day for the kitchen. P.s. there was older gentleman who was giving directives to the servers. I'm not sure if he is the owner or the manager. However, his tone was less than pleasant to his staff. It left a very bad taste in my mouth. It's not what someone wants to see or hear when they are dining in an establishment.

First time here and we loved it! Wings were perfect. Pizza was thin and crispy. Rigatoni was tasty. Best cappuccino I have had outside of Italy. Our bartender, Melissa, was really nice. Music was great. Overall a great experience and we will be back!!
