Wow! Above and Beyond —appropriately named— did the catering for a fundraiser at my home and they were amazing! Professional and organized. A month before the wedding my daughter moved back to the states after living in Jerusalem and we met Jill at the venue in rural upstate New York. After meeting with her in person my daughter felt comforted right away. The day of the wedding everything was flawless. The food was amazing and abundant. The service was impeccable. Honestly I could go on and on how calm and gracious Jill was the day of the event not only to all of us but to the staff and other vendors which they commented on. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL - IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ON THE PHONE TO REFUND WITHIN ALMOST 3 MONTHS LOST $10,000 DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS BUYER BEWAREIndustry standard is a refund within 30 days of an event, however this company charges high cancellation fees within 3 months (90 days). We tried calling to cancel our agreement within the 3 months, however the company was closed for 2 weeks during passover. By the time Passover was over, we had reached the 3 month limit.We tried to be accommodating and only asked for a partial refund, however Above and Beyond was unwilling to work with us. We are a young couple paying for our own wedding, and we just lost $10,000 because they would not answer the phone because of Passover.My fiance and I both work in the industry - I work in PR and Marketing and my fiance has planned numerous events for Fortune 500 companies - this cancellation policy is completely unheard of.I'm very disappointed. I just finished converting and was really looking forward to working with a kosher catering company, but I do not trust this company any longer.My fiance's family is very involved with Main Line Chabad, and I had my conversion done by the most prominent conservative Rabbi in Philadelphia, and we were recommended this caterer by the Horticultural center. we will do our best to make sure that anyone in our network doesn't make the mistake of working with Above and Beyond.
