Came from out of town and was looking for a diner but unfortunately read the great reviews and chose this one. The bacon turns out was turkey bacon but was not told beforehand. The hash browns tasted and looked bad. The place needs painting. It might be old but it does not have to be so unkempt. Don’t recommend at all. Reviews are fake. Disappointed….

Atmosphere 10/10 a true classic Jersey diner. Couldn't ask for more. Very kind, funny, and attentive owner. The building looks really cool and the decor is historic and proudly displays both the diner's and Jersey's history.

Literally one of the best diners I’ve been to! Very interesting decor and FANTASTIC food and service! I attached some photos but the walls are also adorned with tons of baseball memorabilia. The staff were very personable and the main chef/owner even remembered us when we visited again a day or two later. There was street parking, but we walked there so I can’t remember if the parking was metered or not. HIGHLY recommend visiting this diner if you are in the area.

My wife and I drove up from Philly to meet our son who had driven down from Boston for brunch at Dumont Crystal Diner. We had a “Celebration of Life” event for a close family friend in Bergenfield.
When you walk in you immediately grasp why it holds the title “New Jersey’s Oldest Diner.” Nothing fancy.
But…the vibe is perfect and the food/service was excellent! Such a friendly chef-server man behind the counter! Really solid food at a fair price!

Great old school, throw back diner. The food is great. The decor takes you back to a simpler time... no wifi! If you want overpriced fine dining, this is not the place for you. If you want simple food, great conversation, Lou, the owner, will make sure you're not disappointed!
