Ordered take out, and was severely disappointed at the quality of food. Pancakes were burnt, French fries were very greasy which also tasted like it was cooked in old oil with specks of black on it. Omelette was not good, and my nephew loves omelette and he did not enjoy it. The bacon ordered ended up being Canadian bacon which they did not let us know.
Although the owner was very nice and kind, I hope the food improves. Unfortunately we will not be ordering from here anymore.

I really enjoy this place, it truly embodies the "old-school" vibe. If you're in the mood for a warm and inviting diner, this is the spot to visit! The staff is like family and they treat their customers with the utmost respect. However, while the old-school charm is wonderful, there's room for improvement in terms of hygiene. The food is prepared without gloves and proper sanitization, and it would be great to see more attention to hygiene practices. We had such a nice breakfast here, the food was fantastic and the gentleman working was so kind to us and our kids. A real gem in our community! The BEST spinach feta omelette!!
It needs to be cleaned wen u talk about oldest diner yes smells & looks like an old diner they need to clean it up like new paint & clean the floors .

So delicious and friendly I recommend it if you want a truly American breakfast. If there's a taste of old American grandma's cooking, this is it. The hotcakes, bird's nest, Caesar salad wrap, and omelet were all perfect. I will never forget the morning coffee and friendly service. I plan to visit again.

Definitely a great breakfast. I had a blueberry (thrilled to see they were organic) pancake, a fried egg and Canadian bacon and my husband had one of the best BLTs he’s ever had at this charming, memorabilia filled oldest diner in Bergen Cty. The owner was so hospitable.
