PROS: This place was very nice. the food was good, priced well, and the menu variety was plentiful. This place has a bar and restaurant and the atmosphere for both is great. Chris was a great waiter to us as well CONS: The red head bartender was a bit rude to us and the parking is only street parking. Also took a while for the food to come out OVERALL: I'll definitely come back here but just be mindful of who you speak to that works there

When I went there 2 years or so ago the food was extremely salty. I called to explain they need to talk with their chef but the lady on the phone seemed to be worried more about me asking for a refund than my concern. So I told her I'm not asking for money back but want her to know so they dont have any other customer deal with the same thing and I got the impression she was just humoring me she would let them know. Needless to say I never went back. If you look at my other reviews I give high ratings when deserved. The staff that gave me the order was prompt so it is not a knock on their people but just a chef that doesnt understand taste and proper measurements of salt. There plenty of space for dine-in but I did take out. Also there is free street parking. I would have given 2 stars if I felt the lady who answered at least pretended to be more concerned of the food quality.

My family and I went to Fink's for my daughter's birthday dinner. We had high hopes for their exceptional barbecue, but it turned out to be a major disappointment. We've been to this place for years, and we expected the same mouthwatering flavors we had in the past. But, unfortunately, the food we had tasted was like a mere shadow of its former glory. Even the sides that were once perfect with the main dishes fell flat. However, I must say that our server, Jason, was excellent. He was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, which made things a bit better. We're sad to say that we won't be returning to Fink's BBQ Smokehouse again. The magic that once made it stand out seems to have vanished into thin air, leaving us with bitter disappointment.

Finks BBQ is a great find in Dumont . We stopped in for a quick lunch and decided to order appetizers. I ordered the gumbo . We ordered the Porken fries Texas lollipops, and the Smokey garlic ale shrimp All three were delicious. The shrimp comes with corn soufle which was very tasty as well. llThe Texas lollipops were Liz's favorite. We met Sam who runs the place .Good afternoon and lots of TVs if you want to catch a game .Thank you for a very pleasant lunch !

It's been a while, time to update my review! Finks has surprised me lately, enough for me to pay a visit once every two months or more. While I will still never order their wings, they have a number of items ranging from good to great.Great: Cheeseburger (one of the best), Coleslaw (including the empire upgrade), Mashed Potatoes, Chicken & Rib Combo (especially the chicken), Gumbo Special, Pulled Turkey Volcano SpecialGood: Corn Souffle, Broiled Garlic Shrimp (rice and beans are just alright), Rancher's Sampler (pulled pork is never quite right), Buttermilk Chicken Sliders (need more chicken)I will now officially retract my statement that Finks can't do bbq--they can-- though they still don't stack up among the very best for me. My review is mostly based on takeout, as the dining atmosphere isn't super intriguing. The service, while always friendly, can be inattentive and sloppy at times. But overall, I definitely recommend checking it out. Finks remains a good local spot among dwindling prospects.Vegetarian options: Salad, Spicy Southern Greens, Coleslaw, Mashed Potatoes, Corn Souffle, Bourbon Glazed Roots, Rice & BeansParking: Parking lot around the corner in back or free street parking

Fink's BBQ Joint: Where Meat Meets Wit! Stepping into Fink's BBQ Joint is like entering a carnivore's paradise tucked away in a charming hole in the wall. The trio of pork, brisket, and turkey dances on your taste buds, with each bite telling a savory tale. The sauce, oh the sauce! It's the maestro orchestrating the meaty symphony. This bowl was a saucy delight, leaving me tempted to lick the plate. However, the turkey played hard to get, a tad dry, but fear not - the sauce came to the rescue. Portions here won't break the bank, making it a budget-friendly haven for meat enthusiasts. My taste buds threw a party, and my wallet happily joined in. Now, let's talk pretzels. Creamy, cheesy, and rumored to have a splash of beer - it's like a culinary joke that's no laughing matter. It's so good; you might consider starting a fan club just for the pretzel sauce. For a date night (read: an excuse not to cook), Fink's sets the stage. The ambiance screams low-key romance, and the meaty options provide a perfect distraction from culinary responsibilities. Lesson learned: Stick to one protein. My husband's pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone fantastic, seasoned to perfection. Next time, I'll be the swine queen, ruling over a kingdom of porky delights. In summary, Fink's BBQ Joint delivers on taste, humor, and wallet-friendliness. Just remember, when in doubt, pork it out!

I don't understand the 4 and 5 star ratings for this place. You know you are in trouble when you go to a BBQ place and there is nothing being smoked. I went for lunch and my friend and i had the Texas lollypop which were ok but no smoke flavor. Then the brisket sandwich arrived. I am not overstating it when I say that the brisket was harder than a hockey puck and resembled beef jerky.Again it had very little smoke flavor. Obviously it was smoked yesterday and thrown on a flattop to reheat. Terrible! They did get the fries right with the spicy seasoning. I have seen this phenomenon many times in jersey where they are constantly smoking the food and make it all at once and keep it warm which doesn't work. maybe they don't have the volume of business to do it right. This place wouldn't last 6 months in the Carolinas, Memphis, KC or Texas. maybe people in Jersey don't know any better so they like this place. Prices way too high. $34 for a rack of St Louis ribs??? Are you kidding??

Many reviews mentioned that it's "just bar food" which looking at the menu for the first time, it may just be just that, but it is so much better than just bar food. Overall in the barbecue places I've been to around the US- it's a solid 9/10 nationally, but one of the best in Bergen County area. Service is good and attentive. The overall environment is great too- it's your local neighborhood bar and grill with friendly staff. Fink's sauce is sweet and savory. If you're a person that can't have spicy or hot food, you most likely will like it. If you want hot and spicy, they do have those options to and is clearly marked on the menu. If you like chili, they have their regular chili and a special chili of the day that features different meats. It is meaty and has a small portion of rice. The rice is a real nice touch and gives the chili a great texture. It is very filling. The chicken wings are great too- they have your generic flavors along with various special flavors that rotate (similar to the chili). I'm more of a fan for their saucy wings over dry rubs, but they are all juicy. The meat overall is fall off the bone and well seasoned. The one thing that Fink's is missing is a dessert item that would complement the barbecue to hit that sweet tooth after such a great meal.
