The cave never disappoints. First of all, Josh is the man. Treats me like family every time he sees me. No matter who is working you’ll be greeted with a smile and a positive attitude. As far as the empanadas, they will be absolutely filled to the brim. Hands down best ones I’ve ever had in my life. The sauces are absolutely fire. I’ve been coming to cave kitchen since they opened and will be a forever customer.

Absolutely worth the 40-minute drive every time! The Puerto Rican soul food at this truck is nothing short of amazing. Everything is made fresh, and you can truly taste the love in every bite. My personal favorites are the mac and cheese, the garlic fried chicken, and the whiting — comfort food at its finest. My children’s new found love at the truck are the jerk chicken empanadas!
We’re a family of six, and every visit feels like coming home. The meals are hearty, flavorful, and always satisfying. What makes it even better are the wonderful people behind the window. Zina and Ed, the owners, are genuinely kind and welcoming. And Josh, who works the window, is always so sweet and patient — a real gem.

Some of the best soul food I've had in the state. The sweet chili wings with Puerto Rican rice, Mac and cheese, and plantains go dummy in ya tummy 10/10 all day. Don't even get me started on the oxtail or jerk chicken empanadas. Straight fire 🔥

Saw them at panda fest at the end of the night, amazing empanadas! Cool people, I’m not vegan, but the vegan empanadas with pumpkin taste great!

This is by far the best food trucks hands down. I’m so lucky and grateful their truck is based out of dunellen! It’s such a convenient and perfect spot. Their food is tasty and never disappoints! The empanadas are the perfect pick-me-ups! Oxtail empanadas are phenomenal, the beef and cheese empanadas, and also the jerk chicken empanadas. Paired with their jerk bbq sauce…. Yum!! Our go to meal is the fried garlic chicken bites with rice and fries. Again, everything seasoned to perfection! A great take on Puerto Rican soul food.

Stopped by for first time the other day and we will be regulars. Empanadas were delicious and so was the chicken and the wings. Staff was personable and let my daughter try an empanada while we waited which she raved about and for a picky eater that speaks volumes. Wish they had a bench for us to sit and wait on but food was worth it. 10/10 recommend

We ran into the Cave Kitchen food truck at Sam’s Club today, thank goodness for that. We were immediately greeted with some samples while we ordered. The food is incredible, flavors are amazing and service was excellent.
Definitely worth it and highly recommend it. Jumbo shrimp, garlic chicken, rice, Mac and cheese, and maduros were all authentic and delicious! We will be coming back often.

Yesterday I tried Stick & Stones, side of rice, beef empanadas & Maduro. Food was delicious & hot. Tasted like I was in a Boricua kitchen. The young man at the window was very sweet. I will definitely go back for sure.

I recently tried The Cave Kitchen for the first time, and it was an incredible experience! The empanadas were absolutely amazing. Perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. I also had the garlic fried chicken bowl with rice, maduros, and mac and cheese, and it was out of this world. Every bite was delicious, and I couldn’t get enough of that chicken! What really blew me away and prompted me to write this review wasn’t just the great food and service. When the staff found out it was my first time there, they were so welcoming and even gave me two empanadas for free! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food and warm hospitality. I’ll definitely be back!
