We were able to reserve the upstairs for a family celebration of life and could not be happier with the experience. Great service, amazing food selection, perfect atmosphere for the varied age range of our family to all catch up! To top it all of they were able to accommodate our little kids food allergies and made a special plate for her! Several kids in our group, about a dozen and all under 10. Every one of them cleaned their plates and had enough room to play at the tables!

This restaurant is in the bottom or the cellar of an old hotel that Dunellen hotel great atmosphere. If you’d like, nostalgic or colonial, field stonewalls hand cut beams and the food is good. Prices are amazing I highly recommend this place as well.

I have been going here for delicious food for so long! I’ve used them from almost every event possible. Family celebrations from Birthdays to graduation parties . On and off site baby showers . Then My oldest daughter had her reception at the Annex which they catered. They helped with linen selection to decorate and I was picky about table settings. Definitely not a worry. Space for the bridal party and beautiful pictures as well. So many memories! Most Recently I had my 40th class reunion from DHS class of 83! As always it was splendid. We were upstairs and had a small group but definitely had a fantastic time with their friendly staff and delicious food. No matter what you have to plan for they can accommodate you. Thank you for a lifetime of memories ❣️👏🏼🍾🥂🎼🎉

Attentive and very friendly staff, love the atmosphere, great menu. I love the "days gone by" feel of this place. Met one of the owners, who was so friendly, and filled in some history of the Rathskeller!

Consistent, quality, elevated bar food. Solid drink selection. Incredible service. Lots of value for your dollar. I grew up in Dunellen and this is the best eats in town. This will be my first stop every time I return. A truly local spot. They really give back to the community. Get the open-faced pastrami reuben, the Canuck sandwich, the three-onion soup or the chicken caesar wrap.

Such a great place. The bartender (Eric?) upstairs is always pleasant. Great pulled pork! My friends just moved to the area and we will be back.

Clear that the bartenders/waitresses only want to take care of friends and locals/regulars. One bartender can't miss 30 seconds of jokes or conversation at other end of bar with her friends to pay attention to order and the other regular one doesn't even crack a smile as he snaps that "If you want to eat, better order now." Above average pub grub if you can find anyone to pay attention to you.
