Always good food and very friendly service. This is our go to place for dinner for 20 years. My wife and I go for nice dinners and we have had parties with friends in and out of the restaurant.

Please support this lovely young couple's amazing Portugese bakery. They also have fantastic empanadas. If you don't feel like cooking pick up dinner and dessert.

Cute little Portuguese spot in East Hanover with tasty pastries, cakes, and bread items. I like their beef empanadas also. Been here a few times. I like their frozen mango slushee. It's a convenient location. Has parking availability in front of the cafe.

It was cool walking in after 6 PM and hearing the special deal: any 6 desserts for $18. (That may be the deal at all times, but I know it was in place late in the day.) There were also 6 pastels de nata for $14, but I swear I saw a better deal on their online menu. So I went with the random desserts. Let's see if I remember them all.Giant donut: Mostly pastry, very little cream filling. Sad. 3 stars.Pretzel-looking chocolate/vanilla thing: Not bad. A little dry, a little sweet, something different. Would recommend as a change of pace. 4+ stars.Apple turnover: Mostly pastry, very little apple filling. Sad. 3 stars.Napoleon: Unusually dense and eggy for a Nap instead of fluffy like the French do. Different can be good. 5 stars.Chocolate mousse cake: A little lighter than anticipated given the doughiness of the other desserts thus far. Everyone recognized it as mousse without me saying anything. 4+ stars. The last one was a weird dulce de leche mini-cake covered in what looked like broken crackers but I'm pretty sure was meringue pieces. Points for originality, though it wasn't as caramelly as I was hoping. 4- stars.Verdict: Hit or miss. The misses weren't bad, just underfilled with the good stuff. The hits were quite good. I suggest passing on any of the filled items. Go for the ones where you can clearly see what you're getting, and you won't be disappointed. And support your local neighborhood pastry shop!

This bakery was very friendly and inviting. The owners were extremely attentive to our needs and consistently checked up on us. My favorite items were the tosta mista, the chicken empanadas, and the natas! Will definitely come back again to enjoy another meal.

Place was delicious, place was clean, service was on point and the worker was super friendly ! One of the very few bakery's that has great pastries in New Jersey. Not only do they sell pastries, but as well as empanadas, sandwiches and tasty frosty drinks ! Would defiantly recommend others to come try it out

This little bakery is so good! The desserts were tasty, we got to try the empanadas and they were delicious, the Taylor ham, egg and cheese was THE BOMB and the girl behind the counter was SUPER nice. She really paid attention to what I like and even though they were sold out of the Natas, she said she'd put some to the side for me! I loved everything about this little place and if you ever go and want to try it out, you have to be quick because they sell out FAST!

Owner came out to greet us with her mask below her nose. She pulled it up when she came out, but she was preparing food without a proper face covering!!! There were 4 customers and their dog (NOT a service animal) in the store - two had face masks on, and two did not. When we were in there, the other two people put on masks, but one only wore it on their chin.Bakery owner allowed the dog to remain in the bakery. It was a very unpleasant experience. The desserts did not look appetizing, but we took a chance on two empanadas. They actually ended up being good, but all things considered, we will not return.***Update - In response to the owners response:Wearing a mask while preparing food should be a no-brainer. Sorry that you felt the need to remove it while you were cooking. The dog was in the bakery the entire time we were there - more than 8 minutes while we were deciding what (if anything) to order and then waiting for our empanadas. Whether or not you had other customers in the store is irrelevant - dogs are not allowed. Ask the health department if you want an official response.***Update - this in response to a nasty note I received in which someone stated the dog was a service dog. It was clearly not. It was not even trained. They kept having to tell it to sit. They also claimed the two people without masks were eating. They were NOT. There was NO ONE in the place eating while we were there. Even the owner said they were waiting for their food. They were standing around at the counter when we walked in. We stayed near the door until they moved away from the counter. These people were very likely friends of the owner. If you are going to call me a b*tch, at least be honest about the circumstances. Sheesh. This cemented it for me - definitely will never step foot in this place again.

This bakery is amazing! The pastries (and new breakfasts sandwiches) are to die for! And the owner, Daniela, is exceptionally sweet and always exhibits how much passion she has for her business and her craft. Any time I can support this business, I do, and I recommend it to everyone I come across.
