Don Jose Mexican Restaurant East Hanover NJ

We went to Don Jose for dinner with the family Saturday evening. We have tried many mexican restaurants close to where we live and this by far was the best. The food was fresh, and the service was amazing. Its BYOb as well. We will be back

Been going to Don Jose for like 20 years. Work lunch meetings, work lunch celebrations, family dinners, and weekend lunchs. Its always great. No other place can compare. Place is decorated so nice. Such a great spot.

Stopped in randomly and was taken back by the fun atmosphere, great food and live music. This is a really great place with excellent food and service!

We got the chicken quesadilla and tamales, they were fresh, hot and delicious. The decor is fun too! It's a great casual spot for Mexican dishes, definitely recommend!

When searching for food and I saw "Mexican" next to Don Jose I was really looking forward to dinner. The place has colorful decorations and really sold the "Mexican" theme, however the menu told the truth. The dishes are a combination or rather an assimilation of mexican food into the American neighborhood it serves. I was too hungry to leave, so I ordered what was closest to an actual REAL Mexican dish. If you're on looking for authentic Mexican place, save your money. If you want to dwelve I to Mexican food for the first time, then this is a good place to dip your toes.
