Moldy fruit on their parfait cream cake! How did no one see this from the person filling the showcases to the person who boxed the cake for me. Although they refunded me, I was totally embarrassed having presented this cake to my friends at a party.

Sorrentos Bakery in East Hanover has amazing sandwiches, fresh bread, pastries, and cookies. Everything tastes homemade and high quality. But lunchtime can be a challenge. There’s no clear system in place. You walk up to the counter, and one person takes one order at a time. The line can stretch out the door, and you might wait 30 to 45 minutes. I’d love to come more often, but I just don’t have time to wait that long!

Bread is off the charts, which makes their sangs terrific. A piece of shoe leather on that bread would be edible.

Sorrentos is so good and honestly very affordable. They're always busy in there so you may have to wait a little but I promise it's worth it!!

Sorrento's bakery is a pleasure to stop for a sandwich, made in minutes, overstuffed and delicious. Well staffed and great selection of bread and pastries. Worth the trip...

Stopped in to pickup some desserts around two o’clock today and let me tell you place wasn’t even that crowded and at the dessert counter was one woman on the phone one guy getting a carrot cake which he wanted something written on it and came in after me while I stood there for almost 20 minutes and no one to help. That will be the last time I stop in that place. Whatever happened to customer service I know this place doesn’t know not to mention they have no system to make a purchase everyone just walks up to the counter wherever they are standing. Place is was over rated. NEVER AGAIN there are plenty other bakeries.

Excellent bakery with a million cake combinations. Sandwiches are excellent product but dry and inedible execution. Stuffed clams are 10% clam 90% bread crumbs: see above "dry and inedible". Most disappointing birthday dinner in my 64 years

Visited in the snow on 12/24/24 and had to wait in a fast moving line. It was well organized chaos. There must have been about 40 people there waiting to get pastry, fresh bread and deli orders. I got some brewed coffee and chatted up some of the local guys who told me the come there all the time. Before I knew it they called my number and filled my carton with goodies. I think my favorite was the pignoli cookies. Soft and crunch with sweet toasted flavors. Cake Came out great, soft and delicious. Will be back!
Parking was tight and the lot was very busy.

One of the best bakeries in Northern NJ. Fresh bread, excellent pastries and cakes, a deli line for sandwiches, and lots of imported Italian goods to buy. My family has been going here for many years and love it.
