Seating was horrible. I frequent Tops Diner quite a bit. I made a reservation well in advance and the table they gave me was by the door when I asked not to be seated there I was told NO. There was too much traffic by the door and very loud. Food was good and our waitress was wonderful. Host staff needs customer service training.

We went for brunch. Great selection of choices and terrific specials. Our party of 6 adults was very happy. Great coffee in a big mug made me happy. Two of us got eggs, bacon, and home fries, one got a skillet special, one got the Trifecta, one got a burger, and one got Nutella French toast. Three of us took half our meals home! Yum

Reserved a high top, but was seated in an outside area that was very chilly. Very disappointed with the seating. Then the waitress spilled coffee on the table and said will back with napkins but didn't return. Remember when the p rice of eggs went up, menu prices went up. Now that eggs dropped the prices didn't drop.

Always love going to Tops! Food and drinks are good! Love the music so much and the whole vibe of the place. It's fun to see what everyone's wearing.

Everything was great but our 12:30 reservation already had the music blasting. Not exactly what you want when dining. I love Tops, but prefer a more quiet atmosphere.

Food is great, would eat anything on the menu. Cocktails are always well made and a great list. Only complaint is they sent a text saying my table is ready and then we waited another 10-15 minutes to be seated.
This was our 3rd time visiting. We brought friends from FL and we wanted to give them an experience of a wonderful NJ diner. Food wise it was amazing but this time it was VERY loud with music and it was impossible to have a conversation. It ended up being a different experience than the one I planned because of how loud it was. Our server was great and food was delicious, but I am not sure if I would visit again because it was hard to have a conversation with people at the table.

I ordered the Cuban skirt steak and it was flavorless. The chimmichuri sauce didn't taste right. It tastes like I was dipping the steak in oil with parsley in it. The best thing of the night was the Benigets

Excellent Food - Leah was a great server - just a delight - the table next to us celebrated a birthday - and the atmosphere was electrical- music & drinks - what a great way to spend a Fall Saturday afternoon - Reservations ate recommended as not to have to wait to be seated - the New Tops maybe better than the Old Tops

We had an incredible first visit at Tops Diner. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, service was great (special thanks to Natalia for such attentive service) and eclectic decorations. The in house DJ was the cherry on top! We will absolutely be back.
