Had a really great experience at De Novo. I ordered the squid ink spaghetti along with the mussels and fries, and everything was delicious. My sister got the short rib, she said it was a tad dry but very tasty, the polenta was so good! The squid ink pasta was flavorful and cooked perfectly, and the mussels were fresh. The fries were also really good, which sounds simple but makes a difference. The customer service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the view is absolutely amazing, definitely adds to the whole experience. Would absolutely come back.
We also got a brownie with caramel gelato.

Place is good, however the server would not take part of our order until we placed the entire order. We couldn't order our appetizers until we knew what we wanted for entrees. The octopus was delicious

Been here as regular for many celebrations and I've always been satisfied with their food however, it changed everything starting with a server called Sebastian, his service is BAD, he RUSHED us 3 times when we were trying to study the menu, did not bring us bread to start with, I had to ask from other waitress (which she was great! Pity she did not serve my table). Sebastian was literally good to his kind of people with smile and everything but not to us, BAD attitude. Despite our bad experience with their service, I got SICK from their food and I had to deal with diarrea the whole night! On the other hand, I had to take home some leftovers by asking to bring us food containers, and a busboy brought us two USED containers ( rinsed with water and wet). Very unacceptable and unsanitizing! This place has gone downhill... literally!

My husband and I dined here for dinner on a random Wednesday. We were seated easily without a reservation. Instantly loved the elegant vibes of the place. Very spacious, unpretentious, aesthetically pleasing, The views of the city were nice along with the warm tones and bright flowers heavily utilized in the decor.
Service was outstanding. Our waitress, Emily B, was ultra attentive throughout our dining experience. Friendly and bubbling, giving us great suggestions.
Drinks: My husband loved the American pie (whisky based) while the smoke and spice (mezcal drink) was right up my alley. Also enjoyed the spicy Mami (margherita drink). Their cocktail menu was indeed delicious and inventive. I would return just to savor more drinks.
Menu was pleasing to the eye with a variety of options. We weren't super hungry so we ended sharing a flatbread as an appetizer. The tomato and mozzarella flatbread was crispy and very cheesy. I was already full by the end of it. We were also advised to get one of the star dishes on the menu: the squid ink spaghetti. It arrived in a huge portion with chunks of lobster sprinkled with a mountain of cheese. Delicious and filling. I took it to go and it survived the taste test two days later (although very oily from the butter).
Overall, we had a great time here and would return

Booked an early dinner for a milestone birthday, which I noted in the reservation details. Upon arrival, we were seated near the wall, although there were tables with the view available. Switched upon request. No mention of the 'Happy Birthday' celebration, just absolutely nothing to indicate we were wanted there. No suggestions of food for the kids in our party - ordered adult sized food that was too difficult to eat for them (long spagetti). My eggplant parmesan was nothing special - the one I order prepared from Fresh Direct is honestly much better. Overall a bland experience, that could have been so much better, if they just tried a little harder.

The food was ok, the fish was pretty plain nothing to go back for. The atmosphere nice but it was very HOT sitting next to the window. The AC was only working in the front but by the window nothing. My child over heated and we had to step outside. The waiter said the window blind was broken, they were unable to put the shade down. The tipping culture is out of control as well not just here, every where almost 100$ for tip. It was cost $100 to bring me drinks and food to the table to literally do the job you signed up for? I'm just over eating out.
