I absolutely LOVE this spot. It has become a tradition that my mom and I go have the day at Sojo Spa, and eat dinner here as a treat.
We both get the soondubu, I get the clams with spicy level. Their side dishes are so crispy and fresh, I really love each side dish they bring out, it’s a clean plate every time.
Definitely would come back whenever we are in the edgewater area, one of the better SGD chains.

Attention to customers is actual minimal especially that dude who keeps being happy for no reason when I am consistently asking to order more he ignores. Place is born to fail
The service here is always great!
The food is THE BEST which is why this is my whole family’s favorite spot!
Our go-to orders are BBQ Short Ribs and Tofu Stew which are always cooked to perfection— literally the best galbi around. The sides are amazing too, always top quality!! Their kimchi and cucumbers are the best too!

I'm a huge fan of soft tofu stews, and when the mood hits, there's nothing else that can satisfy that craving. Here, I was deeply intrigued by the offering of udon noodles in the stew (instead of rice on the side). In short, it is a perfectly conceived dish. I loved slurping up the thick, chewy noodles and found the spice level just right. For those who are faint in heart when it comes to spice, rest assured that you can modify those levels upon ordering. The slight downside of choosing udon rather than rice was that the stew was served in a metal bowl, which cooled much more quickly than the hot stone pots that are used for the non-noodle stews.
Many others have written about the views proffered at this restaurant, and I absolutely concur. If you're lucky enough to come when the skies are clear and temperatures are favorable, you're in for a real treat.
Service might be considered brisk or even curt by some. But I considered this a plus, since the speed at which our food arrived was frightfully efficient. That said, I was surprised that the banchan (or free side dishes that accompany most Korean meals) got to our table so late. It's a trend I've noticed with a lot of Korean restaurants lately, and wonder if it's something that's done to ward off asks for refills. Small quibbles aside, this was a fantastic meal with breathtaking riverside views of the city, and would absolutely recommend to anyone who's gunning for a decent soft tofu meal with a view.

WHY DID OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT START PLAYING LOUD MUSIC? Didn’t used to play music and was very relaxing which is why we regularly went there (for about 5 years) Recently they began playing music and it has been so loud couldn’t hear our conversation and left with headache. Going probably not go anymore.

If you like RUDE service where you are left thirsty, hungry and then accosted for more tip money, come here. 😖 We were sat in the back of the restaurant and ignored for the rest of the dinner service after we ordered. Our appetizers were delivered so late that our main entrees were almost done because they forgot. The lead server yelled at us for bothering her for more eggs since the food was so bland and not filling. She was raising her voice over these $2 eggs, so ridiculous!🥚🥚🥚 They took alway the remaining bbq beef from our friend while she was still eating it. Our empty water cups were refilled when they dropped off the bill. There is better Korean food and considerate service everywhere, you can skip this place✌️

I've been to many SGD restaurants, this one seemed to be my least favorite. Soodubu lacked flavor for some reason? And the LA Galbi we ordered was cooked medium rare, had to return it to be cooked medium well/well done, first time I had to return food in a korean restaurant! The auntie who served us was a bit rude and unattending towards us too. Would rather go to fort lee/palisades park SGD for better soondubu.

I can’t believe we found this spot in NJ! The views are gorgeous of NYC. I was surprised it wasn’t more crowded. The food was delicious and served quickly. I loved the side dishes , especially the spicy cucumber and radish :) we also ordered the combos with the soon tofu and protein dish. The japchae was sweet and too oily; the pancake was oily as well.

Solid food, great service, beautiful river front view make this spot a personal favorite. This is a tofu house, a good traditional one. The quality and freshness of the ingredients is excellent from the seafood (I like the oysters) to the kimchi. Tofu stew is a good healthy way to get a lot of protein too. The service is always excellent. And the view looks right over the Hudson straight into midtown. You can even take a table outside on a pier.

I was in the mood for pizza but my wife and kids wanted Korean food, we weren't disappointed. Great food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely eat here again. There are also other locations in other states and towns so I'll get another chance to try them in the future ?
Vegetarian options: Any dish can be vegetarian even if it isn't specifically a vegetarian dish. Vegetable broth can be combined with almost anything on the menu to make an appetizing dish.
Parking: It's a shopping center so plenty of parking available.
