“Come for the Matcha, Stay for the Dirty Bathroom… or Don’t.”
Conveniently located with plenty of parking and loads of seating both inside and out, this Starbucks should be a win. They’ve got a great selection of mugs, tumblers, and take-home coffee options. Basically, the setup screams “cozy coffee escape.” But the experience? Not so much.
Let’s start with the ambiance. Or lack thereof. You walk in expecting the usual Starbucks warmth—“Hi! Welcome!” or at least a head nod. Instead, you’re met with baristas who have earbuds in like they’re on a private podcast about how not to acknowledge customers. They seemed mildly inconvenienced when I asked a question, as if I interrupted a thrilling Spotify session.
Quote of the visit:
Me: “Hi, quick question—”
Barista: Blank stare. Slowly removes one earbud.
Me: “…Never mind.”
Ordered a Classic Iced Matcha with Strawberry Cold Foam, a Cortado with 3 pumps of liquid brown sugar, and a Pup-a-chino for Amalfi, my dog (who, thankfully, was the only one who left fully satisfied).
While waiting, I made the mistake of using the restroom. One word: No.
Dirty toilet, paper scraps everywhere, trash overflowing, and no toilet paper in sight. I’m not saying it was the worst Starbucks bathroom I’ve ever seen, but it was giving gas station energy—with none of the irony.
Quote #2:
Bathroom sign said “Occupied.”
Reality: Just sadness and a strong need for Lysol.
After 18 minutes, my drinks were ready.
The cortado? Decent, but lukewarm—like a coffee trying to ghost you.
The matcha? Surprisingly tasty—sweet and earthy in the right ways.
The Pup-a-chino? 4 paws up from Amalfi. His only complaint: “Why did I only get one?”
The drinks were solid. But the wait time, the cleanliness, and the lack of even basic human decency from staff made this visit more chore than treat.
With a good scrub, a team meeting on customer service, and maybe fewer earbuds, this location could be a gem. Until then, bring hand sanitizer, toilet paper, lower expectations, and maybe a travel mug… from home.
“Espresso Yourself, But Maybe Somewhere Cleaner.”

Generally poor customer service. Particularly rude woman (seems like the manager probably) parading around and harrassing customers.

I’ve been a loyal customer at this Starbucks for quite some time, even though there are two other locations closer to me in North Bergen. The reason I continue to come here is because the baristas usually make my drinks perfectly, unlike anywhere else. However, my experiences with the manager, Erica (or Erika), have consistently been disappointing due to her rude and unprofessional attitude.
On multiple occasions, I’ve encountered her at the register, and each time she’s had an attitude. Today was the final straw. I came in with my daughter and sons, and as usual, ordered my go-to drink — a Mango Dragonfruit Refresher. She responded with an attitude, asking “which one?” and then lectured me that there are three different drinks, when in reality, it’s just a choice between water, lemonade, or coconut milk. Most staff members kindly clarify the base; she made it feel like an interrogation.
When my daughter placed her usual order — an iced vanilla latte with cold foam and extra caramel drizzle — the manager commented, “You should just order a caramel macchiato, you’re paying more for what you’re ordering.” That was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. It’s not her place to question or critique a paying customer’s choice.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time she’s been rude — not just to me, but to many other customers as well. As a manager, her lack of professionalism and poor customer service are unacceptable. She has ruined the experience at this location for me on multiple occasions. Starbucks should take note, because her attitude does not reflect the welcoming environment this brand is known for.

What’s the meaning of grande size?!
It's less than the right size. And this isn't my first time
The lady with the glasses who claims to be the manager needs to learn how to respect customers.
The " coffee " experience is vastly overstated here.
Although this locale was basicly empty, staff did not maintain a welcome atmosphere. Out of napkins and stirrers.
Seating disorganized.

HORRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE! The manager with the black
glasses has always an attitude towards costumers when ordering and I have witnessed it for months now but never personally received any type of attitude until TODAY. She really needs to retire soon if she
hates working there. STARBUCKS do better and hire someone who knows about costumer service. The other workers are nice and friendly just not her. Her attitude ruins the experience.

The manager today was at the register & its best if she stays away. she is completely rude to those who orders. Cuts me & my friend off while ordering with a nasty attitude. I was just trying to order my coffee. When I went to scan my points for starrs she raised her voice saying “you have to scan it” as if i wasnt already doing so. if youre having a bad day stay away from customers. No manager
for any business should be allowed to have a big position with a nasty attitude ruining others morning trying to get coffee.

35-minute wait for a latte and coffee! And there were 6 baristas working! Not a word of apology when I was finally handed my drinks and cold breakfast sandwiches that were supposed to be hot. A bad experience the day before Christmas. Don’t recommend this place at all 😟😕

Most of the employees lack tact, as if the customer is asking for something for free and not with our money
December 15, at 5 p.m., there was a short, overweight woman working at the cash register, overweight, and with glasses, her eyes were on us all evening, she was talking rudely and disrespectfully. We constantly come to this location of Starbucks and this is the first time we encounter such a situation.
