It’s all about the experience here! Haig the waiter if you have the chance to meet him or have him wait on you. He knows all the best items on the menu. Amazing tuna/sushi. Burrata was incredible. Will be going back very soon.

The best steakhouse in New Jersey. Period. I have been here several times. NY Strip is my favorite. Sides are plentiful. Cold fresh oysters and colossal shrimp. Make sure to get an order of onion rings!

The food is tasty. The atmosphere reminds me of me of the old fashion steakhouse. The chef is personable. The wait staff is great. Ask for John, for top notch service. The prices are compatible. It's a great place for family dinner, friend gathering, or date night. .

Best steakhouse and sushi in NJ. Best overall restaurant in the WORLD IMO (and I have eaten at some the best in London, NYC, Paris, SF) because I could eat here every night for a year and not have the same meal. Diverse menu and daily specials (food flown in from Florida and Japan) and everything they do is consistently great and at reasonable prices! (They never raise their prices when everyone around does.) For years I missed out on the sushi and regret that. It is among the best I have had anywhere! Excellent service. Ask for Ivan or Marvin - and they will always take exceedingly good care of you.

My fiancé and I had dinner here on a recent Friday. We had to book a few weeks to get a Friday 7 pm reservation. It's kind of an annoying drive here from Hoboken along River Road with traffic and constant traffic lights. Luckily River Palm has valet as street parking is impossible to come by. We arrived about 5-10 minutes early and the restaurant and bar area was packed. There were several people waiting for tables by the hostess stand and people kept pouring in. We didn't get seated until about 15-20 minutes after our reservation time which was annoying, and our table was right across from the kitchen doors making it a high traffic zone. Servers bumped into me at least a few times. It was so noisy in the restaurant it was also very hard to hear. Since my fiancé doesn't like sushi, we didn't try any. We started with the burrata and meatballs and a round of two of their signature cocktails - a maple bacon Manhattan and the winter punch. The Manhattan was good; the punch was very sweet. The apps were underwhelming. I switched to a glass of Chianti for my next drink which came out very warm. For our entrees, I had the petite filet and my fiancé got the larger filet, and we got sides of the hashed potatoes and acorn squash vegetable special. The meat was good, cooked to the desired temperature. The sides were good. We had to get home so we ordered two desserts to go - the carrot cake and the regular NY style cheesecake. The carrot cake was awesome. The cheesecake sucked - it was kinda sour, bland, and very crumbly. Overall, I'd say everything about our meal felt very average. There was nothing special about the food or the restaurant that would make me want to come back. For an expensive steakhouse, you think they would have an attendant check the bathrooms at least a couple times every hour. I went to the restroom twice and both times the stalls were a mess. Luckily we had received a $250 gift card as a present which covered most, but not all, of our bill since it was a pricy meal!
