I canceled my reservation because I broke my foot and I couldn't travel for a family event. I spoke to Brian the manager he was able to cancel my reservation and not charge me any cancellation fees and he also help me with Expedia who is trying to keep my money I would definitely stay here just because of their customer service. Thank you, Brian.

So there is all this land in front of the hotel, but they built it right up against the highway. So bad. The noise from the highway. You will never sleep. It is an awful hotel. The bar closes early. No peace close to the highway. You won't sleep.

On a trip to NJ, I had a difficult time finding a place to eat, so I decided to try the lounge located within the hotel. the service was excellent, however the food needs more work. 1 they claim to be open until 10, I went there at 7 and they were out of what I wanted. I settled on something else which tasted like it was straight from the microwave. I a few drinks too, they were ok but a bit light in the alcohol.

The bed was very comfortable. The bed linens/sheets were not thin & comfortable/cozy as well. I appreciated they kept the outdoor fire running day and night! Their breakfast was delicious. 4 stars because check in was late-4:00 no early check in was available.

I'm here now for work and will be the last. How did this place get four stars. Lots of construction going on, no parking, most of the parking spots they do have are blocked with chairs because the trees are falling. No complementary breakfast. You can only enter through the side door because of the construction and it's dirty with no lighting at night. You can barely see the entire hotel from the street because there's nothing but trees blocking it, very hard to believe this is a Marriott name. Pass and go to other hotels down the street not worth the price.

If I could give a ZERO I would..........,. When I first checked in with the front desk staff, I asked if I could switch to one of the suites since I was a titanium Bonvoy Member and She advised me that it was occupied but tomorrow come downstairs to the front desk before 11am and let them know that I was switching to the suite for the rest of my stay. I came downstairs at 8:30am and advised the AM front desk staff the evening staff assured me that I could have the suite that was available. She stated no problem and advised that the occupants of the suite were checking out and she would call me as soon as the room was cleaned. She did not follow up with me and never returned the phone call as she stated. I gave the cleaning crew ample time which I called the front desk at 5:15pm on Monday which Dayana answered my call. I asked her if my suite was ready for me to move in and she stated the cleaning crew left and the room wasn't cleaned. I advised her that I was assured of the suite by her and Ashley and she stated "Well no one is here to clean and it won't be cleaned for two days' I found that very hard to believe. Especially if your proper is very busy and her demeanor and attitude was not professional.I stated that I wasn't happy to begin with since the room wasn't clean and had a funny smell, but she said I had to stay in that room regardless. The people staying in the room next to me had their children running up and down the hallway screaming at the top of their lungs. Which was at the time of I10:35pm. They were also using hot plates to cook food which you can smell in the hallway as well as in my room. I also ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches which the bacon was almost raw. I did return both sandwiches and was refunded my money back. The contractors on the property damaged my car while they were going in and out of the containers. There were no cones or signs of warning. I have emailed the GM Brian but I have yet to receive a reply back and I've checked out over a week and the property has yet to release my security deposit. I hope this isn't retaliation for my disappointment.

Horrible from the pool being closed to the restaurant/ bar being closed and the outdoor fire pit not working Was told when we got back from the wedding the fire pit would be on after we asked about it we were told it's broken and the repair guy wouldn't be able to get it fixed for a few days. I don't know why they would tell us that it would be on for us when they obviously knew it was broken. Check in at 4 in the afternoon and check out by 11 you have to look really deep into the website to see where it says about the pool and bar I would not recommend this place to anyone ever. Now a day later I look at my bank account and instead of being charged 147.80 as my receipt say may bank account reads 170$ taken out after a call to this dump I find out it is some kind of a deposit that I won't be getting back for 5 to 7 business days this is a terrible practice I don't think I will ever stay at a courtyard by Marriott ever again stay clear and watch out for hidden and unexpected charges this is a terrible thing to do to someone this deposit was never told to me only found out about it after looking at my bank account. I don't understand why it was never disclosed to me and I had to find out about it the way I did How many thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars are they holding of peoples money for 5 to 7 days just another way corporate America is getting over on us this is bullshit again I don't think I will ever stay at a courtyard by Marriott ever again If you can stay anywhere else definitely do it. And make sure that you check your bank account to see how much they have charged you. This on top of no pool bar restaurant or fire pit thanks for the terrible stay I hope people read this and pay attention to it the hidden deposit was the last straw have a great stay somewhere else

This is my second stay at this hotel. The check in is fast, and the customer service is great. There is free internet service for guests, without password request. The rooms are absolutely clean. I look forward to returning this hotel.

I am a corporate trainer in customer service and I can honestly say these employees are incredibly professional and great!We have been staying at this location for several years for business, and we have received the best treatment always! The hotel is extremely clean, the employees are incredibly professional and caring and the location is convenient to nyc. But the most important thing is how well we are treated by the staff, and how clean and nice the rooms are. Thank you all for a seamless wonderful consistent experience again !!!

This is an above average Courtyard. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are big and clean and the Marriott Bistro offers good food. In addition, the staff is top notch. I have stayed here more than 20 times over the years and have never been disappointed. Areas to improve: upgrade the towels and hair dryer and provide a nice desk chair. In addition, bring back the "Red Velvet" chocolate chip cookies! It has been years but they were the best. Overall, a great place to stay!

Stayed here Sunday night because of a funeral in the area. Check in was easy, lots of onsite parking available. Went up to our room and it was huge, we were surprised. It was clean, but a bit outdated. I've stayed in better but I've also stayed in a lot worse. We walked across the hall to visit with family members and their rooms were 100% nicer than ours. Bright, airy, new furniture, etc. Kinda bummed we didn't a nicer room but oh well. There is a coffee maker in the room and they have packets of creamer, sugar, napkin and stirer, however, there is no consistency in the packets. The lids didn't fit the cups either so I couldn't take the coffee in the car. Breakfast is not included, but they have a "coffee counter". I ordered a latte and $7 later it was the worst latte I ever had (I should've figured and stuck with just regular brew coffee). Reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 4 is because of housekeeping. I was about to take a shower (standing in the room indisposed) and the housekeeping staff opens the door! No knock, no warning, just someone walking in. I screamed and shouted at them to get out, c'mon, at least knock before you enter a room, especially one where people had recently checked in!

Awful. HBO Go worked one night. When i called front desk for assistance she said. "I don't know what your talking about". Then i was served Burned Pot Pie Ann's was told it was a little crispy.

This is without a doubt the only hotel I would recommend to stay in if you're coming to anywhere near Newark New Jersey. It's in Edison New Jersey and the people here will make you feel like you're at home like me I'm from Texas and they made me feel like I was still in Texas if you go to the bar make sure that Hiram is working the bar you'll make sure you get your drink quickly every order food even quicker and when you check in at the front desk Helly or Adriana will greet you with a big Smile and take care of your every need! I definitely Recommend this Hotel.

Great hotel for business travel. I had friendly attentive service. My room was clean, recently renovated with newer furnishings. I love the lobby, its set up like a lounge with comfortable seating, a fireplace and large screen tv. They also have a kitchen that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had breakfast and dinner there and it was delicious.
