Pathetic weekend lunch buffet, with poor appetizers (veg puff, gobi manchuarian, what nonsense) and even poor quality desserts (fruit custard, moong dal something which looks like gajar ka halwa but of course is not). We treated a senior couple with the wife completing a landmark birthday and were truly embarrassed by our choice of the restaurant. Will never ever be back and make sure we tell all our friends about our experience.

I lived in India for 3 years and after coming back to US, the Indian food here has me wishing for a one-way ticket back but of ALL the Indian restaurants, HOW does this place only have 3 stars???? The food here is amazing!! I have gotten their thali at least 6 times. Every time its delicious and the people are warm and friendly. It's one of my favorite Indian places to eat in NJ - simple, pure Gujrati veg. dishes in a really homey and lovely atmosphere. I LOVE JHUPDI!

We are buying their package lunch almost last 25 days . It is homely vegetarian food . All the bachelor out their if you need homely food . Give a try . And definitely you will like it. I am going ahead for next 25 days package.
I love Jhupdi. I started going here 16-17 years ago. The food is always incredibly fresh and delicious. Service is great and the portions are generous. The place is simple but nice. It always feels like you're at a relative's house, eating great tasting home cooking. The homemade snacks are really good as well. I would eat there every week if I lived closer (I'm in NYC).

One of the worst indian food I have ever tasted. I am a gujarati and I know how terrible gujarati food this restaurant serves. They literally bought packed frozen food next door (Patel Brothers), heated it and served us. I would give 0 rating if possible. We couldn't even finish the food due to such terrible quality.Jhupdi: try to serve fresh made food not frozen food. We can do that at home at fraction of cost.Please avoid this place. Just waste of time and money.

Excellent place for all types of gujarati food. Tastes like authentic home made and absolutely fresh. Warm and homely ambience. Must visit. I have always loved what I have eaten here whether it be patra, sabudana wada, khichdi kadi, acchar chutney etc. Their buttermilk is to die for. Dont expect a typical restaurant. The beauty of this place is in its simplicity and classic gujarati dishes
