This is easily the best Korean restaurant in the area. The food is authentic and all the banchan were delicious. We enjoyed our meal so much that we even ordered extra Galbi to take home! They do seem to be short staffed, so the service can be a bit slow and chaotic at times. However, I felt more sympathetic toward the hardworking staff than upset by the wait. Definitely worth a visit!

Great little restaurant— the owner was super nice and personable, and food was delicious. All the banchans (side dishes) were delicious, we ate them all even before our appetizer and main dishes came out. Will come back soon!

Full at lunch time! It took us some time to get seats but that's not fault of the restaurant itself. The food was so delicious. Get the stone bowl bibimbap, you won't regret it!!!

The service at this place was the worst. When I first arrived, no one seated us or even gave us a menu. We had to get the menus ourselves and when we were ready to order, the server continued to ignore us for the next 10 minutes. We became extremely fed up and started to leave. Only then did the server come over to take our order, saying, “I completely forgot about you.” This is not a valid reason to ignore customers. We then realized that the server was discriminating against non-Koreans. On multiple occasions, Korean customers were seated promptly and attended to right away. The only redeeming quality of this place was the food.

So happy the geum ho owners took over, good banchan friendly owners and great food, I suggest you get their signature seh whoo kampangee, the jumbo juicy shrimp fried in the sweat sour sauce / seafood pancake a classic too

A go-to Korean food spot for Central Jersey!
The food here is extremely flavorful, fresh, and authentic (every single one of their banchan definitely hits the spot). I’d recommend the rich bone soup, japchae or pajeon, and some stir fry for a party of 4+. The owners are very friendly, and we always succeed impressing our friends from different area with the food from this underrated Korean restaurant.

The service here was honestly unacceptable. My boyfriend and I were given one cup to share for both water and tea. We asked for another cup, were told “yes,” and never got it.

I was also asked if I wanted an item, said yes, and still never received it—while other tables who came after us did.

The staff barely engaged with us, and the difference in service between tables was obvious. Overall, the basics weren’t handled, and it made for a frustrating experience.

Based on this visit, the service did not meet expectations. I will not be dining here again.

Familly business.
The food is really good especially the kimchi by the lady owner.
We also really like the saeu(shrimp) kkanpunggi, soondobu tofu soup, scallion pancake, and the LA Galbi.
We have been here 2 times now and we will come back sometime.

Crowded for a weekend lunch. There is only one waitstaff serving all the tables so expect a wait. Price is reasonable.

Banchan - delicious and great variety. Fish cake, bean sprouts with the beans removed (I love them removed), kimchi, crab meat with mayo, broccoli, etc

Galbi tang - not the best I’ve had but is okay. Taste is there. Meat is tender enough.

Tofu stew - not the best I’ve had but is okay. Taste is there. Seafood is okay.

I visited this restaurant almost once a week.
Everytime I visited, the foods always great and owners took care of me as their family.

One of my friend came from Korea, he loved this restaurant and he promised to come back when he visits NewYork next spring.

I loved Ssambap and along other dishes.

Thanks...

Excellent Korean food. Definitely better than most Korean restaurants in Edison. They used to own keum ho garden, sold off to retire but came back.

The side dishes they make fresh daily it seems.

1 less star for service, they are kind and all but they need some help.
